1970 2dr hardtop Cadillac
this car is a cruzer i have owned it for 6yrs and put 25 thousand miles on it
i drove it on the interstate many times and it's a great running and driving car
it has a 472 caddy motor and 400 turbo tranny i havent done anything to the
motor except ditch the junk stock carb and replaced it with a Edelbrock 600cfm
and serivced the tranny i just put new tires on it i staggered the tires bigger in
the back smaller up front there all the same brand the black paint is brushed on
the car for the look it had patch panel work done by the previous owner and
when i bought the car it had sat for 6yrs so the body filler was cracking so i
knocked it out and did the riveted on panels you see on it now that was the
look i wanted they could easyly be done correctly for a original look the interior
is in pretty good shape the top of the back seat and the top of the passinger
seat has torn from sun damage it has power seats power door locks power windows
and they all work great and the steering wheel tilts and teliscopes out the chrome
and rubber weather strip on the driver side that seals the front driver window to
the rear quarter glass is missing thats the only thing that i know of and i had to
lose the cruz control when i changed the carbs out i have the stock hub caps that
came on it ........thanks for looking if you have any questions call Brad at 812-216-3754

Cadillac Elmiraj sedan RWD flagship finally caught testing

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

While we still have no insight as to it being named Elmiraj, STS or some other permutation of the -TS nomenclature ("LTS" has apparently been registered by GM, as well), new spy shots give us proof positive that Cadillac is indeed hard at work on a rear-wheel-drive flagship model. Spied for the very first time in some north country testing, these shots provide a first look at the upcoming range-topper from Cadillac.
Impressively long and large bodywork ride atop new General Motors' corporate Omega rear-drive architecture here. Heavy cladding over camouflage may discourage finding any details, but the overall, sharp-edged and blocky design is clearly reminiscent of what we've seen on the new CTS and the recently debuted ATS coupe. A strong, wheels-at-each-corner stance helps emphasize the length of this stretched Caddy, and everything about the proportions seem spot-on for a new fullsize flagship for the brand.
It's quite possible that Cadillac will ultimately festoon this large sedan with detailing reminiscent of the original Elmiraj coupe, though thus far we've only seen prototypes wearing four-doors.

Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea. Check out the full press release below with more details, along with CR's musings on the Chevrolet Spark and Lexus ES.

2014 Cadillac CTS images leak out yet again

Mon, 25 Mar 2013

It seems the 2014 Cadillac CTS just doesn't want to stay under wraps. For the second time in as many days, Caddy's next sedan is showing a bit more sheetmetal than the automaker would like before it is officially debuted tomorrow at the New York Auto Show.
This time, the leak comes from USA Today, and we've gone ahead and added them to our gallery of 2014 CTS images. As you may know, Cadillac will bestow the next CTS with an all-new twin-turbo V6 engine that will offer up an impressive 420 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
USA Today also mentions a new Vsport model but doesn't give any more details other than the fact that it will boast the twin-turbo engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, all you have to do is come back to these pages for the official unveiling tomorrow afternoon for all the sordid details. In the meantime, check out the images above.
