Beautiful 2004 Cadillac DTS. I am the second owner of the vehicle. The original owner was born in 1933, and it's possible I'm the first person to drive this Cadillac over 45 MPH. In amazing condition, this DTS is loaded with all possible features including:

-Factory Touchscreen Navigation/DVD Player
-Heated and Air Conditioned Front Seats
-Heated Rear Seats
-Heated Steering Wheel
-Voice activated Steering Wheel Controls
-Steering Wheel Climate Control
-Onstar
-Glove box 6 CD Changer
-Sunroof
-BOSE Premium Sound
-Premium Chrome Wheels
-Parking Sensors
-Satellite Radio/Weather Band

Very rare color combination and options list. This car has been properly maintained and taken care of, and it shows. An great combination of luxury and performance, you will not find a nicer car for this amount of money. Recently detailed, the interior is in near showroom condition, and the exterior is in great shape. There are minor rock chips/small scratches, but no major dents or damage to any panel.

Cranks strong, idles quiet. No strange noises from engine. The ride of this vehicle is incredible. Floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee. Strong 300 HP V8 delivers plenty of power, and transmission shifts smoothly. This DTS sits on a matching set of Bridgestone Ecopia tires. Rear tires have less than 500 miles, front tires have 50%+ tread left.

All buttons and options function as they should. AC is freezing cold, heat is blazing hot. Oil and filter just changed, this DTS is ready to roll.

Will make a luxurious daily driver, or great limo service/fleet vehicle.

What will the next Presidential limo look like?

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

With recent news that the Secret Service has begun soliciting proposals for a new armored limousine, we've been wondering what the next presidential limo might look like. The current machine, nicknamed "The Beast", has a design based on a car that's no longer sold: the Cadillac DTS. If General Motors gets the job again, which wouldn't be a surprise considering the government still owns a chunk of the company, the next limo's shape would likely resemble the new XTS (below, left). But Cadillac hasn't always been the go-to car company for presidential whips.
Lincoln has actually provided far more presidential limousines throughout history than Cadillac. In fact, the first car modified for Commander-in-Chief-carrying duty was a 1939 Lincoln K-Series called "Sunshine Special" used by Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the last Lincoln used by a president was a 1989 Town Car ordered for George H.W. Bush. If President Obama wanted a Lincoln today, it would likely be an amalgam of the MKS sedan and MKT crossover, as illustrated above.
And what about Chrysler? The only record we could find of a President favoring the Pentastar is Nixon, who reportedly ordered two limos from the company during his administration in the '70s, and then another one, known today as the "K-Car limo," in the '80s after he left office. Obama, however, has a personal - if modest - connection to Chryslers, having owned a 300 himself before he took office. A 300-based Beast (above, right) would certainly earn the U.S. some style points.

SRX-replacing Cadillac XT5 spied for the very first time

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

Cadillac has got big plans in place to revitalize its lineup, with new sedans, coupes and crossovers. And it all starts with this, the replacement for the SRX.
Expected to be called XT5 in line with the brand's new naming scheme, the crossover will be based on a scalable new platform called C1XX - or Chi, for short. In its shorter form, Chi is anticipated to underpin the XT5 as well as a new Chevy crossover and the next-gen GMC Acadia. In long-wheelbase form, the platform is slated to give us a larger Cadillac crossover as well as a new Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse.
Power in the XT5 will be provided by a choice of turbo four or atmospheric six, potentially to be transmitted through GM's new nine-speed automatic.

Liberace's gilded Cadillac could be yours

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

With their chrome grilles and oversized wheels, it's hard not to notice a Cadillac these days. But this one is even more blingtastic on account of the 23.75-karat gold-leaf bodywork.
The 1931 Cadillac Golfer's Drop Head Coupé is said to have belonged to the inimitable performer Liberace, who didn't just have it covered in gold - he also had the exterior door handles plated in silver and the inside handles in 24-karat gold as well. It's also got a white leather interior and headlights that - well ahead of their time (if you'll pardon us, Mr. Tucker) - pivot with the steering wheel. All that bling is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission that pales in comparison to the seven, eight and even nine-speed gearboxes appearing on luxury sedans today.
The project was undertaken over the course of three years in the 1970s by one Jack Smith from Kansas. Smith (if that was his real name) sold it at auction in 1975, and it was most recently displayed for 12 years at a museum in Germany which claimed it was Liberace's own. The car is now going up for sale by Barons' at the Sandown Park horse racing track in Surrey, England, on September 17, when bidding starts at 85,000 pounds - equivalent to over $130,000 at today's rates.
