Full profesional paint job 6 months ago on clean undamaged body but faded paint - previous owner supplied me with before during and after photos car mow looks as new except for light crack in front bumper cover , high quality showroom new quality paint , 6 month old michelen pilot sport tires , carfax clear and values this car above book value no bad marks, many years of local Cadillac dealer service , a/c blows cold, heat works , power locks,windows trunk pull down all work, all top controls work and rear and front top pull downs work correctly including rear defogger. Car shows extremely well super color combo . The first 3 photos were taken yesterday after the car had been detailed and waxed .The bad is that it has a small oil leak a drip near the front of the engine and it does leak antifreeze , could use a tune up it sat in the body shop unused for months while they painted. The car starts a little rough and then it smooths out .The interior is a 6 out of ten weathered and worn a bit but all there all power seats functions work , top is in very good condition. This was a $3000 full paint job and $700 worth of tires I'm listing to sell my loss your gain.I' m a private seller I insured the car in my name and never registered I have a clean and clear unsigned title from previous owner . Cadillac's Euro reboot may have implications for US models, sales
Fri, 11 Apr 2014Firmly on the comeback trail in the US, Cadillac is still trying to get out of the starting blocks in Europe. At the Geneva Motor Show in March, Cadillac' senior execs revealed plans to grow the brand's presence in a luxury market dominated by the big three German marques, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
GM President Dan Ammann says he sees "enormous" potential for Cadillac globally.
Over the past 20 years, the General Motors premium nameplate has tried and failed multiple times to break into the European market. This time around, Cadillac recognizes that progress will be modest at best, and depends on specific changes to models, some of which may impact the brand's US lineup. Planned new sales tactics in Europe may also impact the way Cadillac does business on this side of the pond.
GM recalls 61k more vehicles in three campaigns
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Following a stop-delivery order for its new midsize trucks and a rash of recent recalls, General Motors is issuing three more campaigns covering 60,575 vehicles in North America with 57,182 of them in the US. As of October 1, the automaker has issued a total of 74 recalls (see the ridiculously long chart to the right) this year covering 26,495,070 units in the US.
The largest campaign covers 46,873 examples in the US of the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 and 2011-2013 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle imported from Australia. It's possible for the driver's knee to hit the key and make it move from the "Run" to "ACC" position while driving. GM says its Holden division is developing a fixed-blade key that's supposed to fix the problem by only allowing it to rotate toward the "On" position. There has been one crash caused by this fault but no injuries or fatalities.
The second recall is for 10,005 units of the 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V because "the fuel pump module electrical terminal may overheat." This can cause a flange to melt and allow the pump to leak fuel. GM specifies that the remedy for the CTS-V is replacing the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, but it doesn't specify how the STS-V is being repaired.
Seinfeld and Don Rickles stretch out in classic Caddy for latest CiCGC
Thu, 04 Jul 2013It's no surprise that for the newest episode of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, airing for the first time on the 4th of July, that a couple of American classics are involved. You'll Never Play the Copa unites Seinfeld with legendary curmudgeon Don Rickles, driving around in a stunner of a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Seville in Gleneagles Green (upholstery wrapped in Grandma-spec plastic, of course).
Mr. Rickles really steals the show in this one - maybe our favorite CiCGC to date - though the Eldorado plays a strong-jawed costarring role, for sure. Stories about Ronald Regan, Frank Sinatra, Billy Graham and, of course, Herkie Styles are more than worth the price of admission. Check it out below.
