1972 Buick Skylark Custom/GS clone. This car is extremely solid, I have driven it around town. I've only had it a few months, but I bought another vehicle I'm going to spend $ on. I put new header gaskets, front & rear shocks. Had it on the hoist & the undercarriage is very solid, the only rust is a couple easily patchable holes on the drivers side floor. Only rust on the body is the lower front fenders. If the reserve is met the buyer will get rust free Arizona fenders. 455 is a mid 70's, mild cam, headers NEW flowmaster exhaust, sounds good. quadrajet carb, goes down the road and shifts fine. Has air conditioning all hooked up, would probably work if charged. I have NEW parts: new inner fender wells (both sides) GS 455 badges, carpeting in the box, all weatherstripping, door panels. Parts that come with it, extra radiator support, extra trim, 3 instrument clusters, lots of parts & hard to find. Black interior bench seat, column shift. Body needs sanded down & painted. Buick ralleyes with good tires. GS hood, have the very hard to find inserts also. Car is going to be awesome when somebody finishes it. Open rear end. Has a couple thousand $ worth of parts, reserve is set very fair for a running driving muscle car with lots of extras.

Buick picks top 11 highlights from first 11 decades
Sun, 21 Apr 2013Buick has taken the time to highlight some of the company's personal points of pride from the past 110 years. Those include everything from the automaker's very first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, to what Buick claims is the world's first concept car: The 1938 Y Job (above). That one also walked away with the worst name for a design study.
All told, the automaker has sold 43 million vehicles through the end of last year, and those include the lusty 1963 Riviera. That model celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2013, and remains one of the brand's most iconic designs.
Of course, Buick is rightfully proud of its quickest model, too. The 1987 GNX managed a 4.6-second bolt to 60 mph in tests by Car and Driver, and it also took the honor of being one of the automaker's rarest creations at just 547 units. You can check out all 10 in the gallery above.

Mon, 23 Dec 2013"Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?" So asked one Marty McFly of his mentor Dr. Emmett Brown, who replied: "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?"
Doc Brown was right, of course: with an exotic mid-engine layout, gullwing doors and stainless steel body, the DeLorean DMC-12 sure looked the part. It just needed a little more juice. Well this one might not have 1.21 gigawatts of time-bending power - that'd be more than one and a half million horsepower - but it does have more than the 150 hp in the the standard 2.8-liter V6.
That's because this particular DeLorean has had its stock Peugeot Renault Volvo engine swapped out for a Buick-sourced, all-aluminum, 4.3-liter V6 from the Grand National. Dutteiller Performance didn't leave the engine in stock form, either: while they were swapping it out, they added a pair of turbochargers, new pistons, crank, cams and much, much more.
GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software
Thu, 21 Mar 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.
