1967 GS/400 Buick
One of only 422 4 Speed. Convertibles Built
Engine; 400 cu.in. 340 HP Numbers Matching with Factory {STAR WARS AIR CLEANER}
Transmission; 4Spd. Muncie
Axle; 12 Bolt Posi Traction Rear, 3.90 Gears
First year for the New 1967 GS400 Buick & last year of this body style.
This GS/400 is a Dealer Demonstrator car purchased new at Goshen Buick in Goshen N.Y. by my cousin who worked for
the dealership. I have the Factory Buick Warranty Protect o Plate, copy of his birth certificate, original owners
convertible top and car manuals. He later moved to Las Vegas in the mid 70's. I purchased the car in 2008 and is
now located in Arizona. This GS/400 is an unrestored car with one repaint {lacquer paint}. I would rate it a A-.
The seats, deluxe seat belts, door panel dash and spare tire are original. From what I can tell the car has never
been hit, no rust and was always garage kept. The underside of the car is undercoated and looks as nice as new. The
convertible top was new when I purchased the car and looks great. The original spare tire still has factory yellow
stamping on the thread and is like new. Original factory part # stickers still on the jack assembly. Aluminum
front drum brakes. Original deluxe seat belts like new with factory tags still in place.
The engine was rebuilt:
Top End: Stock Heads- ported, polished and cc'd, Manley Values, Crane 490 Lift Cam and Kit-value springs, Teflon
Seals, Lifters, Pushrods,
Bottom End: Jhans Pistons, sealed Power Rings, Steel Crank-Micro Polished, TRW Bearings, Borg- Warner Steel Timing
Chain, Kenne- Bell Oil Pump
The car is beautiful, very rare, great investment and is a excellent running machine. The 400 engine with solid
lifters & flow master exhaust sounds awesome !
I have gone to many car shows and have yet to see a 1967 GS/400 let alone a 4speed red on red with a white
convertible top. So if you want something different sitting in your garage & drive to the car show this is the car!

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")

Buick Regal GS and troupe of basketball dribblers make great beats

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

The 166 videos posted by YouTube music video maestro Kurt Hugo Schneider have been watched almost half a billion times. When Coke wanted to do something musically inclined and a little different, it called KHS, and the result was the video Little Talks.
Buick appears to be the next blue chip in line, and KHS' melodic celebration of the 259-horsepower Regal GS is called Epic Basketball + Car Beat. In it, a red Regal sits at center court in Venice Beach, California while a cast of ridiculous dribblers make music with and around the sedan.
We'll let the music speak for itself, which it does quite well in the video below.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
