Heart wrenching to sell, but here it is. This is a rapid and incomplete posting, but I wanted to get it posted and I will come back and add details as I think of them and as I dig out receipts and documentation, and I do have everything. I bought this around '95 with fresh paint and some other stuff. I had the bottom and top machined / gone through (rings, brngs, etc.) and added a hot cam, street strip heads, dual valve springs, lifters, valves, heat restrictor blockoff plates, high flow water and oil pumps, double roller timing chain and gears, stainless headers, mini starter and adapter, stainless mufflers and dual exhaust that kicks out in front of the axle, monster sway bars front and rear, new springs all around, carb, 4 core radiator, and other stuff I'm sure, but again I'm digging out info and will update as I can. Now the bad. While breaking in the motor I spun a bearing (I suspect) and after all that time and money I was so disgusted I just parked it. So there it sat for years and here it is. There are paint issues, some minor body / rust issues, you will need a new top and to service the electric / hyd. system for the top, and of course open up the engine. The seats look pretty nice but the upholstery is brittle and will crack. Steering wheel is cracked probably beyond repair, but it still works. The good news is that the car was running when I parked it, the body is basically solid i.e. the doors / trunk, and hood shut with that nice solid "chunk" sound, the tires are in remarkably good shape, and it's been in Arizona since '99. Standard e-bay stuff - this is an auction, no warranty, payment accepted through pay-pal only, etc. etc. I am happy to entertain reasonable requests for information or additional pictures for specific things, but I will not make a career out of answering stupid questions. I'm very honest in my postings and it is not in my interest to misrepresent anything. This car was bad-ass even before the engine mods and stopped traffic everywhere. Some TLC and you will not be disappointed. Thanks for looking. needs top paint some body work doors are solid got looks everywhere nice rims tires are decent monster torque

Opel readying Adam model with SUV cues
Fri, 11 Oct 2013The Opel Adam, the microcar of General Motors' European subsidiary, has seen its sales cool significantly since it first hit the market in the United Kingdom and Europe, but a push is reportedly under way that just might be enough to get the stylish, little car moving again.
Using the Opel Adam Rocks Concept as a template, Opel will ruggedize the Adam, so that it might compete with the growing herd of city cars that sport SUV styling, like the Volkswagen Cross Up and Fiat Panda 4x4, according to a report from Automotive News Europe. Sporting a bumped-up ride height and tougher body work, it's a dedicated soft-roader, but will freshen the Adam's lineup and, hopefully, broaden its customer appeal.
The Adam Rocks, according to IHS Automotive analyst Ian Fletcher, should also make some more coin for GM's struggling European arm. "Automakers are happy to meet demand for SUV and crossovers as the customer pays a premium," Fletcher told ANE. And although the Rocks might have been planned from the start as a production vehicle, the timing, with the Adam's sales slowdown, doesn't seem like a coincidence.
GM expanding Lansing Lambda CUV plant
Thu, 30 Oct 2014Considering that crossovers are a rapidly growing portion of the US auto market, it's not surprising to hear that General Motors is preparing to build even more of them. The company is investing $63 million to expand its Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant that builds Lambda platform CUVs like the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.
According to GM, the expansion will add roughly 263,000 extra square feet of space to the plant. Of that, 181,000 square feet will be for an updated body shop with cutting-edge robots. There will also be 54,000 square feet of additional room in the paint shop and 28,000 square feet of more area for general assembly.
GM isn't saying as much, but there is the possibility that this extra space could allow for additional models produced at the factory. Cadillac reportedly dropped plans to build a three-row SUV on the Lambda platform earlier this year, however, dealers for the luxury brand were recently pitched the possibility of adding large and small CUVs, an ATS convertible or a sedan below the ATS.
2014 Buick Regal gets the party rolling in NY
Wed, 27 Mar 2013Although the first day of the 2013 New York Auto Show kicks off bright and early this morning, Buick got a jump on the competition by unveiling the 2014 Buick Regal lineup last night. While the Regal received many upgrades for the 2014 model year, most of our attention was focused on the sedan's drivetrain.
When the new Regal hits dealers this fall, buyers opting for the new Regal Turbo will be welcomed by an additional 39 horsepower and 35 pound-feet of torque from the 2.0-liter turbo engine; the 2014 Regal GS now features the same output of 259 hp and 295 lb-ft, meaning that it has actually lost 11 hp over the 2013 model year. Buick says the reason for the GS' power loss comes from the fact that the newly available all-wheel-drive system forced the car to use a smaller diameter exhaust system, but representatives on hand assured us that the reduction of horsepower won't affect the car's performance and could even help improve fuel economy. And who knows? Maybe downgrading the power of the Regal GS also helps create a little breathing room for a future Grand National or GNX model...
Although the power under the hood is now the same, it is still impossible to confuse the two cars from the outside. Minor updates give both a fresher look, but the Regal GS has an unmistakeable aggression to it. The GS' interior also helps it stand apart from lower Regal trim levels with an eight-inch configurable gauge cluster similar to what is offered in the 2014 LaCrosse. The cabin of the Regal wasn't given an extensive makeover like the LaCrosse received, but the upgraded IntelliLink infotainment system and the cleaner center stack and steering wheel controls are appreciated changes.
