YOU ARE VIEWING A 1980 BUICK RIVIERA TWO DOOR COUPE, BLUE WITH OYSTER LEATHER AND PAINTED PINSTRIPE. THIS RIVIERA HAS 58,199 MILES, I HAVE THE TITLE TO PROVE THIS. THIS CAR IS POWERED BY ITS ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING 350R GAS FOUR BARREL NON- FUEL INJECTED ENGINE, (THE 350R ENGINE IS RARE INDEED, MOST CAME WITH THE 305 GAS ENGINE). THIS ENGINE I MUST SAY IS WHISPER QUIET. I JUST INSTALLED A DATE CODED FACTORY SET OF DELCORE PACKARD IGNITION WIRES TO REPLACE ITS ORIGINAL ONES. ALL OF THE WIRE SEPARATORS ARE PRESENT TO KEEP THE WIRES OFF THE ENGINE. THE FACTORY HOSE LOOMS (GM ZIP TIES) ARE ALL PRESENT. MOST OF THE HOSES ARE ORIGINAL, ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL T -CLAMPS. THERE IS A BRAND NEW DELCO BATTERY, THE HOOD PAD IS ALSO BRAND NEW. THE CAR HAS ICE COLD A/C. THIS RIVIERA'S TRANSMISSION IS ORIGINAL, AND SHIFTS THROUGH ALL OF THE GEARS PERFECTLY WITHOUT HESITATION. THERE ARE NO DRIPS, NO LEAKS, NO WEIRD SQUEALS, PERIOD. THIS CAR IS LIKE DRIVING A NEW ONE, I HAVEN'T SEEN ONE THIS CLEAN IN YEARS, NOR HAVE I EVER OWNED ONE THIS CLEAN. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL GM FULL FACTORY MATS (FRONT AND BACK) WITHOUT ANY WEAR ON THEM AT ALL... AMAZING... ALL OF THE OPTIONS WORK EXCEPT THE CLOCK AND ANTENNA, WHICH CAN BE HAD HERE ON EBAY VERY INEXPENSIVELY. THE INTERIOR IS PERFECT, CRACK FREE, NO STRESS ON THE ORIGINAL LEATHER AT ALL. THE DASH IS PERFECT, ALONG WITH THE CARPET AND THE HEADLINER IS ALSO WITHOUT FLAW. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL BROADCAST SHEET (BUILD SHEET, SEE PICTURES) FOR WHEN MY UNCLE PURCHASED THIS NEW, THE CAR WAS REPAINTED BY BUICK, WHEN IT WAS NEW, DUE TO A DEFECT IN THE FINISH, THE PAINT IS ABOUT AS CLOSE TO FLAWLESS AS YOU CAN GET WITH NO RUST, OR SCRATCHES THAT I CAN SEE. THIS CAR LOOKS BETTER THAN THE PICTURES IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT. IT SPORTS THE CORRECT WIDTH WHITEWALLS, ALL FOUR ARE LIKE NEW. THIS IS A SHOW CAR, BUT THAT IS MY OPINION, I DOUBT THERE IS ONE AS CLEAN AS THIS, IF YOU WANT A CAR FROM THE EARLY EIGHTIES THAT RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE NEW THEN THIS IS IT. YOU MAY TAKE THIS CAR TO THE MECHANIC OF YOUR CHOICE (WITHIN 15 MILES OF MY HOME) BEFORE THE AUCTIONS END, NOT AFTER. I WILL MAKE MYSELF AVAILABLE TO ANY CARRIER YOU MAY CHOOSE TO USE, IN THE EVENT OF A MOBILE TRANSPORT. THAT WOULD BE FUNDED AT YOUR EXPENSE. I REQUIRE PAYMENT WITHIN SEVEN BUSINESS DAYS, THIS IS TRULY A ONCE IN A LIFETIME FIND, I AM NOT A MECHANIC AND EVERYTHING EXPRESSED HERE IS MY OPINION. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CHANCE TO BUY A BEAUTIFUL RIVIERA ,THEN LOOK NO FURTHER , THIS IS YOUR CAR. THANKS FOR LOOKING!

Buick mulling more powerful Encore; diesel too
Mon, 21 Oct 2013Looking to set itself apart in the mid-luxury segment, Buick is looking to introduce a diesel engine somewhere in its US lineup. And according to Edmunds, the two best chances of a diesel Buick rest with the Encore and Verano.
In both our First Drive and Review of the 2013 Encore, our chief complaint about the compact crossover was the the lack of power from the 138-horsepower turbo engine. Edmunds says that the recently introduced 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine (with both gas and diesel variants) from the Encore's overseas cousin, the Opel Mokka, could make its way into the Encore delivering the much-needed boost in power.
Then there's the Verano. As a close relative to the Chevy Cruze, which just added a diesel engine for 2014, the article speculates that a Verano Diesel might actually be the more "probably candidate" if and when Buick decides to add a diesel model to its portfolio. Either way, offering such an engine in one of its products could be a great way for Buick to differentiate itself from Cadillac and possibly even attract buyers from Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes-Benz looking for a luxurious, fuel-efficient vehicle.
Buick struggling to keep up with Encore demand
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Buick is having a hard time keeping up with demand for its all-new Encore mini-CUV, according to a report from Automotive News. The stylish, lifted five-door went on sale in January, but dealers have reported that supplies have dwindled after the initial high demand, taking the proverbial "wind out of the sails."
General Motors admits that it underestimated demand for the diminutive Buick, which is built in Korea and sold as the Opel Mokka in Europe, where it's also seen success. Buick spokesperson Nick Richards told AN, "We increased production, so there have been a lot more landing within the last month."
Buick has done a booming business, though, even with its limited supply of Encores. With over 12,000 units sold in the first half of 2013, the small CUV is on pace to annihilate industry analysts' estimates, which predicted no more than 18,500 units in 2013. We're not entirely surprised. When we first drove the Encore late last year, Autoblog professed that we had no idea how sales would turn out, as the Encore wasn't really entering into an established segment. Even so, wefound a surprising amount to like in the Encore, enough that we "wouldn't bet against it" being a major success.
Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer shows its fresh face ahead of Frankfurt debut
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Drive down the Autobahn and there's any number of vehicles likely to pass you, and most of them are produced locally. But if you're wondering how that Opel left you in its dust, look closely (and quickly) enough and you might make out the letters OPC on the back.
They stand for Opel Performance Center (the German counterpart to Vauxhall's VXR line) and they adorn performance versions of the Corsa, Astra and Insignia. The latter is undergoing a bit of a refresh and is expected to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in a couple of weeks, but you don't have to wait that long as our intrepid spy photographers have caught it in the flesh outside an Opel facility in Germany.
Spied here completely undisguised in Sports Tourer (read: wagon) form, the Insignia has had a few nips and tucks performed, but we'll be more intrigued to see what it's got under the hood. The current model packs a 2.8-liter twin-turbo V6 driving 325 horsepower to all four wheels, but rumors suggest that the OPC (yeah you know me!) could have as much as 400 hp up its sleeve. That would make this one heck of a sleeper - especially in wagon form - and only make us pine for a more potent version of its twin Buick Regal to roam our highways, too.
