1968 Buick Riviera. 430 Engine 360hp. Great running engine, and smooth shifting transmission with no issues. Tilt, Pwr Seats, Pwr windows, Pwr Steering, Very nice all complete car, no rust, needs very little to make into a great car. A nice paint job would take it to the next level.

I just put a new turn signal switch, and fixed horn at same time. So now clicks into place when you put on turn signals. Anyone who knows these cars knows this is a big job.

Under dash CD player, Working power antenna. Nice dash with no cracks, nice headliner. Pwr seats work good. Front bench has a few small tears, but otherwise in good shape, back bench has no tears, good shape.

Nice hard to find Orig. hub cabs, with nice good condition white wall tires. Lots of detail under the hood. Nicely painted black on all metal, not spray can! Professionally done. Powder coated hood hinges. Chrome Valve covers, Nice black air cleaner, Chrome Alternator bracket.

All outside lights work on car, front Headlights don't go up and down with switch, needs to be done manually. Vacuum pumps need to be looked at, i never had time to see whats wrong. Looks like vacuum hoses not connected, and a few bolts not in place. Looks like they were just disconnected.

I have All chrome trim pieces for outside of car, and lower rocker trim pieces that go with car.

A/C and heater core not hooked up, but have all A/C hoses that go with car.

Orig. black plates California car. Clean Calif. title in my name.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

GM China President says automaker could export vehicles from China to US

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

At a press conference on Saturday at the Shanghai Motor Show, General Motors announced plans to further expand its presence in the Chinese market. Among those commitments are plans to build four new plants by the end of 2015, giving the automaker the capacity to produce around five million vehicles a year in the country.
In order to make the most of that expansion, GM is adding 400 dealerships in China this year alone (for a total of 4,200 sales points), and it's eyeing 5,100 dealers by 2015. Yet not all of that production will stay in China - GM is planning to increase exports as well. Officials estimate the company will export somewhere between 100,000 and 130,000 Chinese-built vehicles this year - a record. And it's gunning for more.
Autoblog asked GM China president Bob Socia (above) if that means the company might eventually export new vehicles built in China to the United States, and he responded:

Buick dusting off Grand National, GNX and T-Type nameplates

Mon, 26 Nov 2012

Inside Line reports Buick is planning to bring back some of the more storied names from the company's past, including the Grand National, GNX and the T-Type. Those cars rose to prominence in the 1970s and '80s to become performance legends of their day.
The new models will reportedly make use of the rear-wheel drive platform that currently underpins the Cadillac ATS and all would arrive as sedans - according to an unnamed source familiar with the initiative. Odds are the T-Type and the Grand National would share a driveline, with honest money being on a new twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 as the engine of choice. Word has it the mill will be good for anywhere from 350 to 400 horsepower.
That leaves only the GNX. Inside Line seems to think that machine could get down the road with some help from the all-new GM LT1 small-block V8. The engineers behind the ATS platform have already told us the engine bay is large enough for to accommodate the big eight pot, and since GM is most certainly working on an ATS-V, a slightly less powerful, less luxurious Buick iteration makes some kind of sense. We can't wait to see these things in the light of day.
