Up for auction is a 1965 Buick Riviera. It is a Numbers matching Gran sport. it comes with 85% of the parts to put it together. I started to take it apart to restore it but have lost interest. So I decided to sell it. the car has the 425 nailhead with dual quad intake both of the carbs are rebuilt. it has the bs code trans and posi as well. it has power windows power antenna (but its missing) A/C. The interior is all original. the wood has some weathering to it but for being original its doing good. the door panels themselves are in good shape. It has cloth seats the front have some wear but that's normal but they are not broke down. The back seats just need a good cleaning. The dash board is in great shape with no cracks. the package tray has seen some better days but its there. the carpet is good. It is missing the brake booster and air cleaner. For the body I started repairing the floors the passenger side and back seat areas are done. The drivers side and the inside of the trunk needs to be done but the holes are not bad. Theres a crease in the drivers quarter, both the bottoms of the fenders and a few other small spots need to be repaired you can see in the pics. The hood is fixable its not the best but definitely not the worst. Ive done the best I can to describe it but if you wanna kno anything else about the car please ask. GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
J.D. Power: Mini, Lexus again offer most satisfying sales experience
Thu, 29 Nov 2012JD Power has released its annual Sales Satisfaction Index Study, and once again Mini and Lexus have taken top honors. Overall, buyers are more satisfied with the auto-buying sales experience than they were last year, with those surveyed reporting an average score of 664 points on a 1,000-point scale. That's up from 648 in 2011. Dealer satisfaction also increased by five points over last year as well.
All told, Lexus brought home an index score of 737, which was high enough to put it atop the luxury brands for the second year in a row. JD Power says Infiniti came in second in that category with a score of 728 and Cadillac rounded out the podium with it's rating of 725. Speaking of Infiniti, that brand saw the single largest jump in sales satisfaction of any brand on the survey, popping up 52 index points over 2011.
Among mass-market brands, Mini ranked highest with a score of 712, followed closely by Buick with 706 and GMC farther down the line with 683. You can check out the full press release below for more information.
OnStar RemoteLink mobile app coming standard on all new GM vehicles
Thu, 06 Jun 2013As an evolution and improvement of its OnStar technology, General Motors has announced that it will be expanding the RemoteLink Mobile App on most 2014 model year Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. The new, aptly named RemoteLink Key Fob Services will allow users to remotely operate all of the same systems as the car's key fob, including locking and unlocking the doors and remote starting (on vehicles equipped with a factory remote starter) using a smartphone.
These Key Fob Services will be free for five years - starting from the vehicle's delivery date - but the full suite of RemoteLink features will continue to be offered only with a subscription (trial or paid). These premium features include contacting a live adviser, getting turn-by-turn directions and remotely monitoring the vehicle's diagnostic systems.
