Year:1987 Mileage:41000
Location:

Grayslake, Illinois, United States

Grayslake, Illinois, United States

For sale is my 1987 Buick Regal Turbo T WE4 edition. The drivetrain features a Chevrolet 383 Stroker with a professionally built up Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The gear ration is the 3.23. Some engine goodies include a edelbrock intake, holley 770 street avenger electric choke carburetor carburetor, full system of MSD ignition, stainless steel headers, Big radiator with an electric fan, nice mild cam, topped off with large moroso air cleaner. The transmission has a B&M shifter. It makes about 400 horsepower with 450 ft/lbs of torque. The paint is the original factory black, with very minor signs of wear. Interior is 9/10, everything is perfect with the exception of the headliner, it is held up by pins right now, other than that the interior os show quality. Inside the car there is a large racing tachometer and on the A-pillar there are 2 gauges. One for oil pressure and another for water temperature, both work flawlessly. Under the steering wheel are two switches, one for the electric fan and the other for the fuel pump. Car has hotchkis stage 2 suspension on all for corners and handles very nicely, Steering is tight and accurate. This buick sits on 15' american racing wheels with mastercraft gt tires. Tire tread is good. All lights work. This car has zero rust and the undercarriage is just as clean as the rest of the car. Has full stainless steel exhaust system making an amazing sound. Trunk pan looks just as good as it did factory and even still has the factory spare tire in the trunk. All glass is good with no cracks. Has good disc brakes in front and aluminum drum brakes in the back (factory). The WE4 edition came factory looking the exact same as the grand national, but it was a lighter car with: no rear spoiler, aluminum bumper braces, and lighter wheels. There were over 20,000 grand nationals made, but in 1987 the amount of WE4 editions was a mere 1,547. Making it a rare and desirable car. This car is located in Grayslake IL and whoever wins will have to pick it up within a week of the purchase. No warranty. If you looking for a clean, honest car this is your car. Buick shows US dealers 2016 Cascada convertible

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

The affordable four-seat convertible has become a largely forgotten genre in the States, especially with the death of the Chrysler 200 Convertible. Of course, there are still premium options from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz - not to mention more overtly performance-oriented droptop pony cars from Chevrolet and Ford - but if you want an affordable cruiser, you're kind of out of luck. That may be about to change, however, with renewed rumors of the Opel Cascada (pictured above) making it across the Atlantic wearing a Buick badge.
According to GM Inside News, Buick showed off the Cascada to US dealers last week, with renewed word that the company plans to bring it over from Europe for the 2016 model year. The US version will reportedly be practically identical to its German cousin in terms of styling, but the powertrain underneath is less certain. According to GMI, it may use the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that is available in Europe with either 168 horsepower or 197 hp.
The Cascada rides on GM's Delta II platform, which also underpins the Verano, and the latest rumor certainly provides even more evidence that the convertible is probably on the way. Speculation about the droptop started when GM CEO Dan Akerson said last year that the car was on his wish list to bring over. Then, the US trademark on the name was reserved earlier this year, and the release was speculated for sometime in early 2016.

Opel to be shuttered in China, but will restart Buick production in Germany

Fri, 28 Mar 2014

Opel, General Motors' troubled German brand continues its quest to reinvent itself and find solid profitability. In the course of that metamorphosis, the company has a bit of good news/bad news today. The good news is, it will once again begin screwing together Buick models for the American market. The bad news, though, is that it's being shut down in yet another country, China.
Let's start with the good news. The last vehicle Opel's Ruesselsheim factory built for the North American market was the early run of the then-new Regal, which is based heavily on the Opel Insignia. Production ran for just over two years, from 2009 to 2011, before moving production to Oshawa, Ontario.
Now, thanks to a 245-million-euro investment (just over $336 million), Opel will kick off production of a unspecified model for the US in the "second half of the decade," according to Automotive News. According to Opel, the new model will be announced before the end of 2014. You can begin your speculation about this new model down in Comments (we're wagering it'll be the Cascada convertible, sold here under the Buick umbrella).
