Up for sale is my 1986 Buick T-Type. The car is in great condition. Paint is beautiful. I would rate it a 8.5-9 out of 10. New Spoolfool rear fiberglass bumper filler professionally painted to perfect match. Fronts were existing and in great shape. The interior is almost perfect. A couple little almost non visual marks. Back seat appears to almost never been sat in. I would rate the interior a strong 9 out of 10. T-Tops are like normal. Rattly. Did not notice any leaks as I have only washed it a couple of times. Everything but the AC works. It may only need a charge I suspect? Compressor kicks in like it wants to run but stops like it is low on charge.  Have not spent a ton of time getting to work. Now to the drive train. Engine has just been professionally overhauled completely. Top of the line everything. Cometic head gaskets, ARP bolts, other Fel-pro gaskets, etc.. Engine has less than 700 miles on it since rebuild. I have not even given the car full throttle. Still want to break in a little more before doing so. I have not even adjusted boost up yet. Currently low boost until motor breaks in more. Motor should be able to handle 16-18 psi of boost with no problem. Engine is pretty much stock except for a few upgrades. Thrasher ECM chip, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, HV fuel pump with hot wire kit, adjustable waste gate and cold air intake. Turbo was replaced by previous owners along with rebuilt transmission at approximately 82,xxx miles. Prior to purchasing almost 2 years ago the previous owners also had brakes, shocks, and new springs installed. A lot of money has been invested between myself and previous owners to get this car to the beautiful state it is into today. I have a lot of receipts I can share if you want to see the car in person. I have described this car to the best of my ability honestly. I would highly recommend coming to see in person if possible. Car is way worth the value asking. No disappointments. Feel free to contact by phone if you would like to ask more questions. I would be more than happy to describe more. Ph. (734) 649-5593. Thanks for looking.

I DON'T NEED HELP TRYING TO SELL! SO DON'T INQUIRE!!!

2014 Buick Regal GS

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

A few months ago I drove the 2014 Buick LaCrosse and wrote up a First Drive review of it. For all of my quibbles with that sedan (and I had a fair number), I understand that it speaks to the heart of what new Buick loyalists like in a car; it's roomy, has a cushy ride and is as placid as a summer's morning at highway speeds.
Those qualities, while undeniably desirable, don't mean a whole lot to me personally. I prefer sedans that conjure up words like "nimble," "punchy" or even "raucous" on occasion. So, directionally, the high-performance GS version of the 2014 Buick Regal is more my cup of tea than any other car in the company's current range.
In fact, I'd already come to know the Regal GS from its 2012 model year introduction, and grown more than a little fond of the sporting sedan in its original front-wheel-drive, six-speed-manual guise. The fast, sweet-handling car with well-sorted controls may have suffered from a slight identity crisis in terms of pricing (and may still), but it was undeniably fun to drive. So, when I heard that the GS was coming to market for 2014 with optional all-wheel drive (albeit only in combination with a six-speed automatic transmission), I was stoked to have another go and concentrated my driving impressions on the AWD car.

Buick Adam a reality after all... but only in China

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

General Motors may have parred down its brand portfolio, but it still has more under its umbrella than most. That's why, while a company like Ford might market the same vehicle under its own name in markets around the world, GM uses different brands in different markets. But no two are aligned quite as closely as Opel in Europe and Buick in the United States and China.
What we know here as the Buick Regal is sold overseas as the Opel Insignia. Our Encore is their Mokka. Verano? Astra sedan. But one thing we don't get here is the Opel Adam. The diminutive city car is GM's take on the Mini Cooper, Fiat 500, Citroën DS3 et al. Launched at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the Opel Adam is named after the company's founder (like an ironic thumbing of the nose to the Ferrari Enzo). But while it's sold, like most Opels, in the UK as a Vauxhall, the prospect of it porting over to Buick seems slim to none. Right?
Sorta. While the Adam isn't likely to come Stateside, the latest reports (as yet unconfirmed by GM) suggest that The General is planning to sell the Adam in China where the Buick brand is also a strong seller. Local production could ensue, with prices targeting the Fiat 500 and engines - according to CarNewsChina.com - to include inline-fours displacing 1.2 and 1.4 liters with 69 and 100 horsepower, respectively.

eBay Find of the Day: 1981 DeLorean with 570-hp twin-turbo Buick V6 [w/videos]

Mon, 23 Dec 2013

"Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?" So asked one Marty McFly of his mentor Dr. Emmett Brown, who replied: "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?"
Doc Brown was right, of course: with an exotic mid-engine layout, gullwing doors and stainless steel body, the DeLorean DMC-12 sure looked the part. It just needed a little more juice. Well this one might not have 1.21 gigawatts of time-bending power - that'd be more than one and a half million horsepower - but it does have more than the 150 hp in the the standard 2.8-liter V6.
That's because this particular DeLorean has had its stock Peugeot Renault Volvo engine swapped out for a Buick-sourced, all-aluminum, 4.3-liter V6 from the Grand National. Dutteiller Performance didn't leave the engine in stock form, either: while they were swapping it out, they added a pair of turbochargers, new pistons, crank, cams and much, much more.
