Please only bid if you are committed to the purchase. No zero feedback bids unless I am contacted first. I will only accept wire transfer or cash in person. I will not allow re-negotiations after the sale. Winning bid is what is expected. Wire transfer fee is buyers responsibility so factor that in when you pay for the car. If you have any negative feedbacks within 30 days on a purchase, do not bid. Car has only 32618 miles. Yes it runs like a car that has low mileage. However it is still 26 years old so I do not offer any warranty and is sold in as is where is condition. There should be no disappointments with it. Shipping is buyers expense.

There will be a video of the car on my youtube channel shortly at  www.youtube.com/radrodsbycarrero

The Right Car For The Buick Lover!

For sale a 1987 Buick T Type. Car is very sharp. Clean body like a grand national. Pictures are current and they speak for themselves. Everything works- just passed a N.Y. state inspection effortlessly. The body has only seen water when it's been washed. As of recent I am having room issues so I need to let two of my cars  go and due to an injury, my bike as well. So feel free to look at my other items too.  The interior looks just like a grand national two tone- very comfortable. Power seats windows original radio no cut up hack jobs and it all works as it should. The headliner has 1 little sag spot at the very front (look at pictures) due to heat while in storage. Very cheap fix with any upholstery shop. Wheels rims are exceptional as is glass and so on. Floors are mint with no holes or rot ever, but that reflects the mileage as well. Motor is a sequential v6 fuel injection and scoots right along. I know for a fact there is no other Buick T Type on here anywhere near this mileage or condition. My reserve is well below it's value easily. The only thing that can be annoying on the car is the trunk won't stay up by itself.  You will need to have a helping hand if you plan to use this awesome car as a grocery getter. I think the car is worthy of any cruise night and is as impressive in person as it is in pictures. Like I said, should be no disappointment. Car is not on the road so best I can offer is a scoot down the road and back if you're picking up in person. I need the room but this is no fire sale so if it does not sell I will just pay to store it.  Expect a 26 year old car well cared for and you will be pleased.

Thanks for looking.  Bid with confidence - my feedback speaks volumes.

J.D. Power study sees new car dependability problems increase for first time since 1998

Wed, 12 Feb 2014

For the first time since 1998, J.D. Power and Associates says its data shows that the average number of problems per 100 cars has increased. The finding is the result of the firm's much-touted annual Vehicle Dependability Study, which charts incidents of problems in new vehicle purchases over three years from 41,000 respondents.
Looking at first-owner cars from the 2011 model year, the study found an average of 133 problems per 100 cars (PP100, for short), up 6 percent from 126 PP100 in last year's study, which covered 2010 model-year vehicles. Disturbingly, the bulk of the increase is being attributed to engine and transmission problems, with a 6 PP100 boost.
Interestingly, JDP notes that "the decline in quality is particularly acute for vehicles with four-cylinder engines, where problem levels increase by nearly 10 PP100." Its findings also noticed that large diesel engines also tended to be more problematic than most five- and six-cylinder engines.

GM recalls 51k Enclave, Traverse, Acadia crossovers over fuel gauge inaccuracy

Mon, 05 May 2014

With all eyes fixed on General Motors in the wake of the ignition recall debacle, the auto giant has been carefully calling in a wide array of vehicles to fix anything and everything that could prove problematic. Just the other day it issued two separate recalls - one concerning the Cadillac SRX and another its heavy-duty pickups - and now it is issuing another.
This time the vehicles in question are the Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia, three fullsize crossovers based on GM's Lambda platform. In an estimated 51,640 units manufactured between March 26 and August 15, 2013, the engine control module has been found to incorrectly display the level of fuel in the tank.
As a result, owners are being notified to bring their vehicles in to their local dealers to have the ECU reflashed to fix the problem. View the full details in the announcement below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

GM mulling Chevy Cruze hatchback for US, Buick 'Panamera' among other new models

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

We've spoken at length previously about the fallacy of poor hatchback sales in the US, and with the runaway success of its Chevrolet Cruze sedan, it's somewhat unsurprising to hear that General Motors is rethinking its decision not to sell an overseas five-door variant in North America as it looks to plug a number of holes in its lineup. GM North American President Mark Reuss admitted during a media luncheon this week that not offering the model "... was a pre-bankruptcy planning mistake," says Forbes. With the next-generation model already well-along in development, it's likely that the current Cruze hatch (shown above) won't see US dealers.
Reuss admits not offering the model "was a pre-bankruptcy planning mistake"
In what must have been a far-reaching conversation, Reuss hinted at a number of new products for many GM brands, including "a much more beautiful Panamera" range-topper for Buick (which sounds a bit like the line of reasoning the TriShield brand has been pursuing with its Riviera concepts) and a "Ford Transit Connect-fighter" to supplant the recently announced badge-engineered Chevy City Express from Nissan.
