For Sale I have a 1987 Buick Grand National, It has 152,xxx miles, New BFgoodrich Radial T/A's, Just had a 12 point inspection everything's good, replaced the transmission TCC Solenoid, Brace kit installed in the rear and under the engine, Coolant flushed, plugs and wires changed, weather stripping around t-tops was replaced there is still a little air noise but you'll never get rid of that completely. Body I would give 9/10, Interior 7/10, and paint 8/10 few chips here and their. No dings that i could find on it, interior has a small tear on the seam in the rear seat, and passenger door panel will need to be recovered eventually it's not to bad. Overall I would say the car is in excellent condition for the year and miles it has, i am the second owner of this fantastic car and i have all the original receipts from the first owner. The engine bay is clean, I believe that the first owner had a bigger cam installed also, other than that the whole car is original, all power, t-tops, etc... any questions just throw me an email.

Buick mulling more powerful Encore; diesel too
Mon, 21 Oct 2013Looking to set itself apart in the mid-luxury segment, Buick is looking to introduce a diesel engine somewhere in its US lineup. And according to Edmunds, the two best chances of a diesel Buick rest with the Encore and Verano.
In both our First Drive and Review of the 2013 Encore, our chief complaint about the compact crossover was the the lack of power from the 138-horsepower turbo engine. Edmunds says that the recently introduced 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine (with both gas and diesel variants) from the Encore's overseas cousin, the Opel Mokka, could make its way into the Encore delivering the much-needed boost in power.
Then there's the Verano. As a close relative to the Chevy Cruze, which just added a diesel engine for 2014, the article speculates that a Verano Diesel might actually be the more "probably candidate" if and when Buick decides to add a diesel model to its portfolio. Either way, offering such an engine in one of its products could be a great way for Buick to differentiate itself from Cadillac and possibly even attract buyers from Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes-Benz looking for a luxurious, fuel-efficient vehicle.
Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
2013 Buick Verano Turbo vs. 2013 Acura ILX 2.4
Tue, 12 Mar 2013Answering The $30,000 Entry-Level Luxury Question
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and Acura would have matched a Skylark against an Integra.
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and its Acura equivalent would have matched a Skylark against an Integra. The unfair battle would have resulted in the compact American's defeat in nearly every measurable category, as the Japanese competitor was arguably at the height of its powers.
