Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse is the same Bug with new paint

We typically wince any time a manufacturer rolls out a special edition that's little more than a coat of paint, but we'll make an exception in this case. Bugatti parked the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse on the lawn of the Quail Motorsports Gathering, resplendent in its Bianco and Light Blue livery. The paint scheme is a tribute to the 1928 Type 37A. That open-wheel racer took the checkered flag at a number of grand prix events and now finds itself in the loving care of none other than Jay Leno himself.
As with the rest of the Veyron Grand Sport models, the Vitesse can bolt to 62 mph from a dead stop in a physics-obliterating 2.6 seconds. The feat is possible thanks to a range of impressive mechanical systems, though the 1,200 horsepower forced-induction W16 at the heart of it certainly doesn't hurt. Bugatti Veyron Legends Edition Black Bess isn't exactly subtle

The Bugatti Veyron Legend editions may do nothing to alter the Grand Sport Vitesse's already prodigious performance, but buyers appear to love them. Four special models have been unveiled so far, and Bugatti has sold out of all of them. At the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, the automaker has introduced the fifth Legend - the Black Bess.
Unlike the previous models, this Legend is inspired by a specific car, rather than a person. Black Bess was the name of a Bugatti Type 18 owned by famous French aviator Roland Garros. With seven examples built from 1912 to 1914, the 18 was a supercar in its time. It sported a 99-horspower, 5.0-liter four-cylinder engine and could reach 100 miles per hour. While paltry today, it was amazing performance by contemporary standards.
The modern Black Bess packs the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse's 1,184-hp, quad-turbo W16 engine, and it wears rich, black paint with 24-carat gold accents. The interior has a combination of beige, brown and red leather, but its real showpieces are the hand-painted leather door panels that depict the Type 18 and Roland Garros' plane.

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Venet on display in Beverly Hills

Even if you don't consider yourself an art connoisseur, Bugatti just gave car lovers a great reason to visit the Ace Gallery in Beverly Hills, CA. As a part of an exhibit for French artist Bernar Venet, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Venet, which was unveiled last year, is also on display.
Although not quite as exciting as a date in the desert with the Lamborghini Veneno, we still hopped at the chance to get an up-close look at this custom Veyron. Venet, who had said that the Veyron is a work of art on its own, decided to put his touch on the car by using Bugatti's engineering equations - all of the mathematical equations and notations make the car look like it was left on the set of A Beautiful Mind.
