Located at the Dezer Car Museum. Where we have over 1200 eye popping cars and counting!Real estate developer and collector Michael Dezer fulfilled a longtime dream when he opened his extraordinary automobile and memorabilia collection, Miami’s Auto Museum at The Dezer Collection Museum, to the public. Encompassing over 250,000-square-feet, the museum features more than 1,000 of the most unique and eclectic vehicles held in any private collection in the world. The museum’s nine exhibitions are positioned within lifelike dioramas that depict the historical period and origin of the automobiles on display. Guests can trace the evolution of the automobile through exhibits showcasing American classics from all eras, rare European classics, military cars, electric cars, micro-cars, bicycles, classic motorcycles, and more. Noting his passion for collecting began with his first vehicle — a Vespa given to him by his father at age 16 in his native Israel — Dezer today owns the largest collection of Vespas worldwide. An exhibit sure to fascinate both young and old, the museum’s Hollywood “Star” car exhibition showcases cars featured in some of Hollywood’s most celebrated movies, including the 1948 Ford “Greased Lightning” from Grease, 1959 Cadillac “Ecto-1” from Ghostbusters, 1981 Delorean “Time Machine” from Back to the Future, and the Mach 5 Speed Racer from Speed Racer Enterprises, among many others. The “Cars of the Stars” exhibition is complemented by the museum’s James Bond exhibition, which features a world-renowned collection of automobiles, submarines, airplanes, boats and memorabilia that appeared in one of Hollywood’s leading film franchises. One-of-a-kind concepts such as an indoor drive-in movie theatre and a wax figure museum further the Miami’s Auto Museum at The Dezer Collection Museum’s unique mix. In addition to its outstanding collection of vehicles and memorabilia, the museum offers a distinctive 75,000-square-foot event venue, the Dezer Showplace, perfect for hosting events of up to 1,500 guests. |

Bentley shows plug-in hybrid concept ahead of Beijing, will power SUV in 2017
Wed, 09 Apr 2014From its more mainstream, popular origins in the original Honda Insight and Toyota Prius, the hybrid powertrain has worked its way up to the the corner office, the big chair, the top slot in the corporation. Bentley has announced that it will introduce a plug-in hybrid option on its SUV due in 2017. Before then, we'll see what an electrically assisted Bentley looks like at the Beijing Motor Show when the Crewe automaker shows off a copper-accented Mulsanne that's been reworked into its Hybrid Concept, pictured above.
We don't have any official specs just yet, the only major announcement being that any Bentley hybrid will be able to travel at least 50 kilometers (31 miles) on pure electric thrust and get a power boost of "up to" 25 percent from its electric side. We use the phrase "any Bentley hybrid" because the company's CEO says "we will gradually introduce this powertrain across our model range" to 90 percent of the brand's lineup.
We'll know more when the Beijing show commences. For now, there's the press release below and the high-res gallery above.
Luc Donckerwolke named Director of Design for Bentley
Fri, 14 Sep 2012Bentley has announced Luc Donckerwolke will take over as the automaker's Director of Design. Donckerwolke started with Volkswagen in 1992 as a designer for Audi. Since then, he's worked with Škoda, Lamborghini and Seat in various design roles. His resume includes helping sketch out both the Lamborghini Murciélago and Gallardo among other notable models.
The designer steps into the vacancy left by Dirk van Braeckel, who has moved on to work with Volkswagen Group design under Walter de Silva.
As you may recall, van Braeckel is responsible for a number of Bentley's most successful models, including both the Continental GT and the Mulsanne. He joined the ultra luxury automaker in 1999. You can take a look at the official announcement below for more information.
Bentley teases new Flying Spur sedan
Mon, 18 Feb 2013Bentley has released another teaser video for its redesigned Flying Spur, and the next generation car is looking less like a grown up Continental GT and more like a junior Mulsanne. A viewing of the first teaser vid revealed a more upright grille, a three-spoke steering wheel, horizontal taillights and quarter panels with angles and curves certifiably lifted from the Mulsanne. After this second video, we can add lower door panels with a more aggressive shape, horizontal vents in the fenders and a rear end with the shape of proper haunches.
The English motorcar maker promises us we'll see more on February 20, when "performance and luxury unite." We'll be there in person when the "Camry for rich people" is revealed at the Geneva Motor Show next month. You'll find the videographic appetizer below.
