Available for bid is a beautiful 2008 BMW 328i with less than 62,000 miles. Highlights include: power windows and locks, Sunroof, A/C, CD with steering weheel controls and AUX jack, automatic transmission, upgraded 2010 stock wheels. NON-SMOKER, exceptionally clean!! No Disappointments here. Front nose has a couple of rock chips, largest pictured, otherwise there is no noticeable dents, or significant scratches. I always hand wash all my cars and trucks and this one is no exception. All power features work as they should. Buyer is responsible for all local taxes and fees in their home state. The car does have an outstanding loan through Wells Fargo that will be required to be paid prior to title release. I have bought and sold several cars on E-bay and will work with the buyer and their bank as necessary for a seamless transaction. Feel free to e-mail me any questions. Thanks for looking.

BMW hires Ferrari chief engineer Fedeli
Wed, 08 Oct 2014There's going to be a little bit more Prancing Horse in some future BMWs because the Bavarian brand is hiring Ferrari chief engineer Roberto Fedeli to join the company in November. Fedeli's new position is still somewhat of a mystery though, and he reportedly might be lending his talents to the high performance M division or possibly even Rolls-Royce. When asked by Automotive News Europe, BMW said that it "currently can't say what his role will be."
Regardless of his new job, Fedeli was a big get for BMW because of his strong résumé. He has been with Ferrari since 1988 and led the engineering for the famous Italian automaker's vehicles since 2007. Fedeli tendered his resignation in September at around the same time that chairman Luca di Montezemolo announced his decision to leave the company. However, Ferrari told ANE that there was no connection between the two events.
2014 BMW X5 recalled over faulty child-safety locks
Tue, 27 May 2014BMW is set to recall some 6,400 of its new-for-2014 X5 SUVs built between December 12, 2013 and March 10, 2014 due to concerns that the child safety locks, if set, might deactivate without warning. The problem affects only those vehicles with the automatic soft-closing option.
According to the bulletin issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the lock mechanism on the rear doors "may not have been manufactured to correct tolerances," meaning the safety locks could disengage with a simple pull of the door handle. Basically, with a pair of tugs, the rear doors could be opened from the inside, regardless of child safety locks.
BMW is in the process of notifying owners of affected vehicles. Any necessary repairs will be conducted free of charge. Take a look below for the official press release from NHTSA.
Watch the BMW i8 get wrung out on the Ring
Thu, 24 Apr 2014Been wondering where the heck the reviews of the all-new, plug-in-hybrid BMW i8 have been? After all, the car isn't exactly new, having debuted in concept form way back in September of 2009. In August of last year, we even tested a prototype of the new supercar. Despite that, though, we still haven't gotten a crack at the actual vehicle that will be sold to the public.
Well, we're happy to tell you that we're currently testing the i8 and will have a proper review for you soon. If, however, you're just aching for some coverage of the low-slung plug-in, we have a short video of it in action around Germany's famed Nürburgring.
Despite it's three-cylinder, turbocharged gas engine, the i8 sounds pretty angry as it laps the Ring. That is, until it has a little bit of a breakdown. According to the guys that caught the car on video, it appeared the i8 had a minor brake issue, and was parked on the side of the track for a good 15 minutes, with the driver pumping the brakes. We should probably just take this as proof, then, that manufacturers are actually using the Ring for testing, and not just messing about.
