This car is being sold with a New York State 907A Salvage Certificate. It is a flood vehicle. I have not had it running. The key I have doesn't work in the ignition. So please keep in mind that the steering wheel is locked and could be challenging to load onto a trailer. There is damage on the lower part of the front bumper, most likely from the recovery. The bottom of the condenser is damaged also. I tried to take a pic, but it just didn't show. I don't see water in the oil and the interior looks like it was really nice before the flood, nice color combo. Please look closely at the pics and ask questions. 508 865 7470

1. This car is a salvage title and is sold as is with no warranties of any kind, either express or implied. (Please be sure you understand what this means. In the past, I have received negative feedback because a buyer tried to save money by purchasing a vehicle with a fully disclosed salvage title but did not understand what salvage actually meant. I normally don't take the cars apart. I cannot predict what problems could arise after purchase or what you will find if/when the car is taken apart. I assume no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle or any incorrect assumptions made by buyer.
2. Consumer organizations recommend having an independent inspection of a used car before purchasing. eBay usually provides a link for you to arrange such an inspection, regardless of where you live.
3. This car is located in Massachusettes. This sale shall be governed by and under the laws of Massachusettes. Any dispute or action arising out of this sale must be brought and resolved in Massachusettes. And the parties agree that Massachusettes shall have personel jurisdiction over them and be the exclusive venue.

If no contact is made within 24 hours, I reserve the right to realist the item, sell it to the next highest bidder or otherwise. Full balance is due within 5 business days of auction end and signed bill of sale must be received before the vehicle will be released.
6. Any car not picked up 90 days after the auction end will be subject to a $50. A day storage charge, unless I approve other arrangements in writing.

BMW says current M3 sold out, no new AWD M models planned

Mon, 06 May 2013

Car and Driver asked the head of BMW M, Friedrich Nitschke, a few questions about what the go-fast division had in mind for the future, and was rewarded with some enlightening answers. The best news to purist ears is that Nitschke said customers don't want all-wheel drive on their M cars, so it's the rear wheels alone that will propel new product into the future. If you want both an M badge and four driven wheels, it's the X5 M, X6 M and M Performance models you're looking for in the catalog.
"Mixed bag" is the phrase you're looking for regarding the other answers. Nitschke said that future M engines "at the core of their architecture" would "be closer to BMW AG engines" that are optimized for M cars, instead of following in the line of unique marvels like the V10 and naturally aspirated V8. They will keep the high redlines, however, with Nitschke saying "there is room beyond" the 7,000 rpm mark in BMW's current V8 turbos.
Managing weight will keep the same priority for M that it is for every other brand, so electrically assisted power steering is coming, as is an "unconventional" materials mix. At the smaller end of the M scale, Nitschke described three-cylinder engines as "attractive," saying that the brand can produce more than 310 horsepower from a three-pot.

2015 BMW i8 sets everyone's tongues wagging in Northern Michigan

Fri, 31 Oct 2014

Like few other cars we can remember, people want to talk about the 2015 BMW i8. Drive one, and you'll soon find out what we mean. They stop you at gas stations. They accost you in Walgreen's parking lots. They stream out of neighborhood bars, beers in hand.
At least, that was our experience this week during Autoblog's Technology of the Year testing. We had the pleasure of driving the plug-in hybrid BMW sports car up to and around Petoskey, MI, a resort town where seeing such exotics is rare enough, let alone in the off season. It made for some interesting conversations - so we began writing down some of the comments the butterfly-doored coupe inspired. Here's a sampling:
"Wanna race for pinks? I'll go easy on you." - Acne-covered teenage pizza delivery driver in a sad-looking Ford Taurus parked at a Valero gas station near Grayling (which incidentally didn't actually have gas).

Drifting can be dangerous for spectators, too

Fri, 02 May 2014

Okay kids, here's your lesson for the day. When you go to a motorsports event (that isn't a rally), there are these things called walls. They're big and hard. There might be stacks of tires in front of them. There are also these things called barriers, catch fences and run-off areas. They exist to protect you, the spectator, when something inevitably goes wrong on the track.
If you don't have these things, you probably shouldn't be watching whatever four-wheeled mayhem is taking place. This gentleman learned that the hard way, after getting a bit too close while some hoon drifts his BMW 3 Series.
Scroll down for the video, and be warned, while there isn't any blood that we can see, some viewers might find the sight of a human getting punted by a BMW disturbing.
