1998 Bmw Z3 Roadster Convertible 2-door 1.9l on 2040-cars
Wagoner, Oklahoma, United States
Up for sale is this `98 BMW Z3 Roadster with a blown engine. It will need a new block due to the corner of block being blown out due to the seizing of a rod bearing I`m guessing. Everything was in working order at the time of the failure. It has Vox Legra satin finished wheels with a polished lip. Nitto NT450 Extreme Performance tires that have no more than 4000 mi. on them. I also have the stock wheels for an additional price. During a storm a tree limb fell on the car while the cover was on it denting the drivers side fender. Could possibly be fixed with paintless dent removal as the paint was not broken through, cracked, or pierced. See pictures. Buyer is responsible for shipping. If you have any question feel free to call. 918-277-3487. If I am not able to answer I will return your call ASAP and will try to answer any and all questions. Thanks Now, apparently I have been told by eBay that this was a salvage car and then reconstructed based upon the Vin#. I was unaware of this as I bought it from an Auto Trader ad. Oops....! Nothing wrong with the car so I'm not gonna give it away, just needs a new engine. All reasonable offers will be considered. |

2015 BMW X4 configurator is ready to get personal
Thu, 17 Apr 2014The 2015 BMW X4 configurator is ready for your special touch. Starting with the 300-horsepower xDrive35i that starts at $48,925 after destination, our special touch aimed at a luxury cruiser and added $9,250 to proceedings for a final tally of $58,175. That got us the Technology, Lighting and Driver Assistance packages, navigation and enhanced USB and smartphone integration. We were tempted to go for the Dynamic Damping Control for just $1,000 and a set of 20-inch M Double Spoke Wheels, but the configurator didn't want to mix the M Sport Line with our Sparkling Brown metallic exterior hue so we skipped it.
We've covered the details on pricing and the breakdown of the order guide elsewhere, so you can always click through for refreshers. Or you can skip all those words and dive straight into trying to build an X4 that makes you say, "Yeah, now I get it."
2014 BMW X5 recalled over faulty child-safety locks
Tue, 27 May 2014BMW is set to recall some 6,400 of its new-for-2014 X5 SUVs built between December 12, 2013 and March 10, 2014 due to concerns that the child safety locks, if set, might deactivate without warning. The problem affects only those vehicles with the automatic soft-closing option.
According to the bulletin issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the lock mechanism on the rear doors "may not have been manufactured to correct tolerances," meaning the safety locks could disengage with a simple pull of the door handle. Basically, with a pair of tugs, the rear doors could be opened from the inside, regardless of child safety locks.
BMW is in the process of notifying owners of affected vehicles. Any necessary repairs will be conducted free of charge. Take a look below for the official press release from NHTSA.
BMW M3 driving off cliff is a chilling PSA
Mon, 10 Jun 2013We're a little shocked that the unnamed owner of this cliff-diving E46 BMW M3 would upload the in-car footage of his accident to YouTube. Not only that, he uploaded two videos: raw footage of his roll down the cliff (it looks like somewhere in the Southwest, maybe Arizona) and a tribute video for his BMW that suffered the most severe consequences of understeer. Not only does uploading the videos leave him wide open for judgment by fellow enthusiasts (just read the YouTube comments), but we imagine if the police and his insurance company somehow don't know about the incident already, they will shortly. Scroll below to view for yourself.
The raw footage shows the sort of driving that led to the M3's violent tumble, and it serves as a good public service announcement reminder for everyone out there: Just like the Spengler's streams, double yellow lines aren't meant to be crossed. Also, hard driving is one thing, but hammering on public roads at speeds clearly above your skill levels as a driver is not only a recipe for legal trouble, it's a script for ruining your car at the very least, if not your life.
