I am reluctantly selling my beautiful BMW roadster. I purchased this car eleven years ago when it had only 3000 miles. It has been babied and only driven an average of 2500 miles a year. It has been stored in my garage winters and never been abused (I am 71 years old). You will not find a nicer car. I have bought many used cars and never one as nice as this one. The car has been trouble free with only a few minor repairs. I have the complete service records and the car has been serviced by Quality Import Service in Elkhart, Indiana. This car can be driven anywhere, any distance. It has what I consider the best colors with the Arctic Silver exterior and the Red Leather interior. The interior shows no wear and the arm rest has been upgraded with a leather cover to hide the cheap plastic that BMW installed on these cars. I have used premium Mobil 1 oil as recommended by the manufacturer and the engine runs as new. All the controls work, AC is cold, and I have never changed a light bulb, or a fuse on this car. I installed new Michelin Pilot Sport tires as original and these tires are like new. The wheels are unblemished except for weight marks from the manufacturer. The top is in great shape and only shows some slight fading. The rear window is clear and in great shape considering it's age. There are only two imperceptible blemishes on the car, a light scratch on the rear passenger fender and a scuff on the left rear bumper. You would not notice these unless I showed you where they were (see pictures). I have owned many sports cars over the years and this is the best one I have ever owned, very reliable with all the amenities, what could be better. Bid with confidence, you will not be disappointed.
Please call me if you have any questions or need any pictures. A deposit of $500 is required within 48 hour of winning the bid. I can assist with shipping, if required, or pick you up at a local airport. 574-848-4623, Roger Hull

Project CARS vs reality at Laguna Seca shows amazing potential
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Project CARS is aiming to be the next great racing sim. Offering a mix of modern and classic cars on famous tracks, developer Slightly Mad Studios is trying to inject a fresh energy into the genre, and at the moment its game looks ready to take on Forza and Gran Turismo.
The game is still about six months from release, and the graphics already look practically photorealistic. The video below shows side-by-side laps of Laguna Seca in a BMW - real life on the left and the game on the right. It's absolutely astounding. Other than some changes to the sponsorship around the track, they are almost identical.
Of course anyone with quality seat time in a racing sim knows that graphics are just one factor. How the game feels is even more important, and without getting hands on, it's impossible to judge yet. However, consider our interest piqued. Project CARS is scheduled to launch in November on the Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, Nintendo WiiU, Windows PC and Steam OS. Scroll down to check out the video.
2016 BMW X5 M is big and bold, not beautiful
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Awesome as it is, the BMW X5 M has never really been an attractive machine. Big and bulgy are the themes here, and that's only more pronounced with the X5's most recent refresh. But no matter, the X5 M has never been about looks - for this machine, it's all about performance, and BMW's hi-po crossover absolutely delivers in this regard.
Under the hood is the familiar 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8, though power has been boosted to 567 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque - healthy increases of 12 and 53, respectively, compared to the outgoing model. Hitting 60 miles per hour is said to take just four seconds, which is damn impressive considering this thing weighs well over 5,000 pounds.
But the X5 M has always been shockingly good to drive, with limits you'll never reach except in the most hardcore track scenarios (which we'd really like to see, by the way). It's not the prettiest thing ever, but that's okay. It's not exactly cheap, though, with prices starting at $99,650. Woof.
Toyota GT86 engineers explored shooting brake and sedan variants, are they still in the cards?
Wed, 13 Mar 2013According to the Toyota UK blog, engineers for the automaker were so excited developing the GT86 coupe that they investigated producing a whole family of models based on the rear-wheel drive sports car. And at least one engineer - product chief Tetsuya Tada - still hopes it can happen, even if not everyone at Toyota is onboard. Tada: "Actually we tried to do this secretly but the executives found us out. They said: 'What are you doing? Will you please focus on the coupe.'"
Those mooted variants included both a four-door sedan and a shooting brake. Why? Aside from the pure excellence of a lightweight, brilliantly handling hatchback, Toyota was keenly aware of the fact that it may need to spread the cost of development out across several models. Tada says that's part of the reason why it was so easy to create the convertible. The company knew from the outset that a softtop version was in the cards, and built the machine's structure to accommodate having the roof sliced off.
Tada also made mention of the already-announced collaboration between Toyota and BMW. The engineer said that the GT86 was particularly helpful because it demonstrated just how successful a product conceived and designed by two different companies can be. While he didn't say exactly what Toyota and BMW are up to, it's clear the two are looking into a number of possibilities. It's an interesting read with a lot of
