Bmw: X5 Xdrive35d Sport Utility 4-door on 2040-cars
Cassville, Missouri, United States
This Truck was meticulously maintained by my local dealer. I bought it as a program car with 21,000 miles on it and had the trailer hitch added at that time. It has only done light towing (2 jet-skis) at most. The tires are original and are still in good shape. This truck has very good fuel economy. I averaged 22-23 MPG in mixed driving but once got 30MPG being very nice to it. The seats are in perfect condition and the floor mats are brand new. Included are a set of all weather mats as well. I do have a second fob (without the key). The one Pictured is brand new. The spare was stolen but it has been cleared out of the system. The Idrive software has just been updated but the maps are original. I don't have my Jet skis any more so I don't need a vehicle this big. Hate to get rid of it, but it's time to downsize. The tint was done about 6 months ago and is top quality. The reserve is set below wholesale, please don't ask what it is. Bidders with rating of less than 1, please contact me prior to bidding. Please make sure that your finances are in order and that your significant other is OK with it.

BMW predicts 2 Series Active Tourer will have 75% conquest rate
Wed, 23 Jul 2014In the last few years, BMW has definitively proven that it wasn't a slave to its legacy. In the US, the 3 Series was generally associated with smooth, flat-six engines, but the Bavarian brand dropped a four-cylinder turbo into it. The company was also known for its sports sedans, and it went green with the i3 and i8. Now, rear-wheel drive is off the table as defining its vehicles, as well. With the imminent launch of the 2 Series Active Tourer, the Bavarian's models are going front drive and opening up themselves to a whole new group of customers, so the thinking goes.
"We are expecting the Active Tourer will have a conquest rate of around 75 percent," said Frank Niederlaender, a BMW product manger, to Automotive News Europe. If you're not hip to the lingo, that means three quarters of the hatchback's buyers would come from other brands - an impressive figure, if accurate.
When it hits the road, the 2 Series Active Tourer will be the first BMW-branded vehicle to use the company's UKL front-wheel drive platform, already on the current Mini Cooper. The roomy hatchback is aimed at young families looking for a car that is luxurious but can still tote around the tots. It launches in Europe in September to compete against similar models like the Mercedes-Benz B-Class, but the Bimmer isn't crossing the Atlantic to the US until early 2015, according to ANE.
BMW planning Zhi Nuo Chinese sub-brand, may export models
Sat, 06 Apr 2013Automakers continue to pour big money into the developing market that is China, and new sub-brands born of joint ventures with domestic partners crop up on what seems like a weekly basis. The latest? According to reports, BMW and its Chinese ally Brilliance are forming a new sub-brand called Zhi Nuo ("The Promise") that will likely rely on existing or older BMW products as a basis for new models.
Previous reports had indicated that the sub-brand could build its offerings based on an older 3 Series model (presumably the E90 series), but newer rumors have the X1 crossover (shown) factoring in. The Zhi Nuo brand could receive its official unveiling as soon as later this month at the Shanghai Motor Show.
Perhaps most interestingly, Automotive News Europe reports that the automaker's ambitions for Zhi Nuo may extend beyond China's borders. It's not clear what markets BMW may be eying, but executives admit the company hasn't ruled out Europe.
BMW reveals new X5 Security Plus in Moscow
Thu, 21 Aug 2014A major player in the Russian market, BMW is heading to the Moscow Motor Show this month with a slew of local debuts... most of which we've already seen. But among all the new models making the trek from Bavaria to Moscow will be the new X5 Security Plus.
In a new-model launch that will surprise exactly no one, BMW's latest armored vehicle upgrades the X5 with enhanced protection for oligarchs against Chechen rebels, AK47-touting gangsters and missiles randomly falling on Crimean highways. Now meeting the VR6 standard of ballistic protection, the new X5 Security Plus incorporates reinforced bodywork, seats and joints, along with bulletproof glass.
Of course all that reinforcement (not to mention the jars of beluga caviar and bottles of Stoli in the glovebox) will come with a weight penalty, but the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 ought to do the trick, driving 450 horsepower through BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system to get the vehicle's occupants out of a war zone in a hurry.
