*2013 BMW M5*

Today, I am selling my personal 2013 BMW M5! This car comes from a SMOKE-FREE, PET-FREE, CHILD-FREE HOME! This car
is fully-loaded with nearly every option ticked off with an MSRP of OVER $107,000! On top of that this BMW is a CPO
M5! Of the 600+ M5s for sale less than 10% of them are CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED and carry the 6-year, 100k mile
warranty! That means this car is covered bumper to bumper until 06/2019 or 100k miles! This is piece of mind that
you can't buy on another non-CPO M5! Never have to worry about an unexpected repair bill! Like I stated earlier
this M5 came with tons of options out of the door including the following:

Executive Pkg:

[ZEC] Details:

Heated Steering Wheel.
Pwr Tailgate.
Comfort Access Keyless Entry.
Soft-Close Auto Doors.
Pwr Rear Sunshade W/Rear Manual Side Window Shades.
Active & Ventilated Front Seats.
Heated Rear Seats.
4-Zone Auto Climate Control.
Head-Up Display.
Satellite Radio W/1-Year Subscription.
BMW Apps W/Smartphone Integration.

Driver Assistance Pkg:

Original Cost: $1,900.00

[ZDA] Details:

Lane Departure Warning.
Active Blind Spot Detection.
Side & Top View Cameras.
Speed Limit Info.

20" X 9.0" Front & 20" X 10.0" Rear M Light Alloy Wheels (Style 343m):
20" M Light Alloy Wheels.
P265/35R20 Front & P295/30R20 Rear Tires.
Band & Olfusen Sound System:
1200W Sound System W/ Dynamic Sound Optimization
Black Merino Leather:
Full Leather On The Dashboard/Sides

So you can see that all the right options were ticked off in this car and nothing was spared! However, once I got
the car I spent more money on tasteful upgrades! I got the following parts installed:

-aFe Carbon Fiber Engine Cover ($625)
-IND Fiber Side Turn Signal Vents ($245)
-IND Paint Matching Front/Rear Reflectors ($185)
-BMW M5 Double-Slat LCI Grilles ($395)
-BMW Performance Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps ($695)
-Agency Power Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser ($795) (BRAND NEW IN BOX, Hasn't even been installed yet!)
-Escort 9500 CI Radar Detector ($2000)
-Laser Interceptor Quad BMW Edition ($1100)

Total Parts cost: $6,040 and another $2,000 in install costs, I have all receipts and have uploaded some as well!

Now the radar detector and laser jammers are a discreet install within the BMW grille and under the rear bumper of
the car. you!

Consumer Reports' first motorcycle reliability report finds Japanese brands ahead

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

Consumer Reports has released its first ever study of motorcycle reliability, and students of its ratings on cars might notice a suspicious similarity - Japanese brands require fewer repairs than the leading American or German brands.
The study analyzed the reliability of 4,680 bikes owned by CR subscribers and found that Yamaha had the best ratings, with just one in ten bikes built between 2009 and 2012 requiring a repair over a four-year period. The makers of the R1 and R6 sport bikes were closely followed by Kawasaki and Honda, while one out of every four of the rumbling bikes from Harley-Davidson experienced an issue. BMW had the worst rating of the brands represented, with one in three bikes having problems.
According to CR, neither Suzuki nor Triumph owners provided enough information for a reliable rating. Based on the responses received, though, Suzuki would have finished with the other Japanese brands and Triumph, being English, would have been one of the less reliable makes.

World Car of the Year finalists announced

Fri, 07 Mar 2014

To say the 2014 Geneva Motor Show was packed full of news is an understatement as big as the show's home at the Palexpo convention center. Despite everything that we were able to cover during this year's show, there's still more coming out of Switzerland, including the announcement of the finalists for the 2014 World Car of the Year Awards.
We reported on the original list of finalists over three weeks ago, and now, that initial list has been pared down to three finalists for each of the five awards. The finalists were announced at a press conference by frequent Autoblog contributor and co-chair of the awards, Matt Davis (above).
The finalists for the overall title of 2014 World Car of the Year are the Audi A3, the BMW 4 Series and the Mazda3. The World Luxury Car of the Year will be either the Bentley Flying Spur, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, while the Performance Car of the Year will be awarded to the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the Ferrari 458 Speciale or the Porsche 911 GT3 (which, um, yeah...).

2014 BMW 4 Series

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

Because Four Is Greater Than Three
Say what you will about the name 4 Series, there is a method to BMW's madness. On one hand, it's easy enough to just buy into the logic that odd numbers are reserved for sedans and wagons, and that even numbers are reserved for coupes and convertibles. On the other hand, consider the idea that the higher numbers are used to separate the more dynamic, more engaging vehicles that use the same platform. It's that sort of separation that differentiates the 6 Series so nicely from its 5 Series roots, after all. And if we're being cynical, it also allows BMW to charge a bit more money for its lower-volume offerings.
So with the new two-door version of the 3 Series, BMW has gone the route of strengthening the dynamic virtues of its F30 chassis to create a car that's more removed from its sedan kin than one might think. And after spending some time with the new 4 Series on the roads around Lisbon, Portugal, as well as the famous Circuito do Estoril racetrack, it's increasingly clear that calling this car a 3 Series Coupe simply wouldn't be fair.
