After much soul searching, the time has come for my Stroker to find a
new home. This car has a long history on M5Board.com, so I will try to keep
the details short:
This car is the "Cody Stroker" from Austin, Texas. After Cody, the famous "Street King" a.k.a. SW owned this car and he sold it to me with 38K miles on it last year. So, if you live in CA, this is a fantastic looking and sounding smog legal car. If you don't, then you can de-cat it again :-) I've put 10K miles on it, and the only work it needed was to replace the brake controller due to an ABS fault light. So before we get to the pictures, here are some details: 2008 E60 M5 Dinan S3 49K miles Asking $49,990 Black on black Full leather, alcantra headliner KW coilovers Heads up display Active seats Electric rear sunshade Soft close doors Factory ipod integration Back up camera integration Integrated Passport 9500 with front and rear laser shifter RPI exhaust and scoops Carbon fiber rear spoiler Car used to have a clear bra on it which I removed recently so the paint work is virtually perfect. This is very rare, particularly on a black car. There are no dings or blemishes, except for one wheel that has very slight road rash and some small scrapes on the front air dam. On Feb-19-14 at 11:55:02 PST, seller added the following information: There is a typo in the category and I can't fix it....
The engine is 5.8L Dinan Stroker.
This car makes about 630 HP. It is de-restricted, so top speed is about 200 MPH. Yes, this car can hit 200 MPH on a closed course. The 0-60 MPH time is around 4 seconds.

Mercedes says it's tops in luxury sales for 2012, not BMW
Tue, 19 Feb 2013It turns out that Mercedes-Benz North America has legitimate claim to being the top selling luxury nameplate in the US in 2012.
While sources such as Autodata had put BMW in the top spot, registration data from R.L. Polk shows that Mercedes customers registering new vehicles topped the Bavarian automaker in the most recent calendar year. Polk says Benz posted 274,123 registrations, compared with BMW's 268,498.
In terms of sales posted, BMW had bested Benz 281,460 to 274,134. But sales are recorded somewhat inconsistently from automaker to automaker. Some book the sales as soon as they are shipped from factory to dealer. There is perennial gamesmanship between the two German rivals, and the sales numbers suggest that BMW pushed out some extra sheetmetal to dealers in the last four weeks of the year.
Alpina B4 coupe will be your subtle M4
Sat, 14 Sep 2013We're big fans of Alpina here at Autoblog - the BMW tuner has created some seriously delicious products in the past, and recently tuned the diesel-powered 3 Series wagon to create the D3 Bi-Turbo. What we like most about Alpina is how the cars only look subtly more aggressive than stock, yet they pack a real wallop under the hood.
Take this B4 Coupe, recently spotted testing at the Nürburgring. It looks pretty tame compared to the normal 435i, the only visual additions being the Alpina-standard 21-spoke wheels, modified front lip and rear wing spoiler. But under the hood, Alpina is reportedly working on a tuned, twin-turbo straight-six that produces something like 410 horsepower. That means the B4 should be good for a 0-62 time of 4.2 seconds, with a top speed around 190 mph. Rear-wheel drive will be standard, though our spies suggest that Alpina could also use all-wheel drive here in the B4.
We have no doubt that the next BMW M4 will be super hot, but for those seeking a bit more stealth and exclusivity, this Alpina B4 certainly looks the business. Check it out in our gallery above.
BMW stripes up X6 M Design Edition
Tue, 24 Sep 2013There's something that makes red, dark blue and light blue stripes running up the fenders and down the flanks of a white car just that much more eye-catching. Whether it's a Martini Racing liveried racecar or something from the BMW skunkworks, they just draw long looks nothing else can. And here's the latest.
The BMW X6 M Design Edition upgrades on the standard X6 M with such special touches as 21-inch alloys, a carbon front splitter and rear splitter, black grilles and diffusor, and of course, those iconic racing stripes, which come as an option on this model.
The interior has been done up in black leather with Mugello red accents and piano black trim. Only 100 individually-numbered examples will be offered, and given that this one's wearing German plates, we doubt there's much chance many (if any) will make it Stateside. But then again, you could always spec up your own X6 M with most if not all of the same trim and forgo the little number plate on the dashboard.
