2008 Bmw M5 6-speed Manual on 2040-cars
Shawnee, Kansas, United States
This is a grey 2008 BMW M5 with the 6-speed manual transmission.
Interior is red leather. The only modification is an after-market iPod
integration kit (Dension). The only problem with the car is that one of
the two key fobs doesn't seem to work. Other than that, this car is in
excellent condition with a perfectly clean car-fax.
If you are looking at this car, you probably know what it is. Its F1-derived V10 engine makes 500 horsepower and revs to 8,250 rpms. Take the limiter off and this car can reach 204 mph. Very few cars, and virtually no cars of this M5's day can match it's 80-150 acceleration. I really don't know of a cooler car for under $40,000 than an E60 M5. I'm the second owner, purchasing this car with ~25K miles in November of 2011. I wanted a 6-speed so much that I drove to Tulsa to get this one. I just needed a big, fast, sedan to load up with car seats. The only reason I'm selling it is that I ordered a brand new F10 M5. For what it's worth, I enjoyed this car so much that I'm getting a new version of the same model. |

Watch a trio of Santas ride up Mulholland Drive
Wed, 25 Dec 2013Santa Claus might have his eight reindeer - or nine, when it's foggy - to help him deliver presents in most parts of the world, but in southern California, it looks like he's traded up from Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and company to BMW, Yamaha and Ducati. RNickeyMouse is usually the place to check out spectacular motorcycle crashes on video along LA's Mulholland Drive, but a recent video caught a trio of Santas carving up the iconic, twisty road.
The three Santas are together, riding what appears to be a BMW S1000RR, Yamaha R1 and a hard-to-tell custom bike that could be a Ducati 1098. The video, which is posted below, also catches a bonus Santa riding solo on another S1000RR. Happy Christmas to all, and to all a cool bike!
BMW stripes up X6 M Design Edition
Tue, 24 Sep 2013There's something that makes red, dark blue and light blue stripes running up the fenders and down the flanks of a white car just that much more eye-catching. Whether it's a Martini Racing liveried racecar or something from the BMW skunkworks, they just draw long looks nothing else can. And here's the latest.
The BMW X6 M Design Edition upgrades on the standard X6 M with such special touches as 21-inch alloys, a carbon front splitter and rear splitter, black grilles and diffusor, and of course, those iconic racing stripes, which come as an option on this model.
The interior has been done up in black leather with Mugello red accents and piano black trim. Only 100 individually-numbered examples will be offered, and given that this one's wearing German plates, we doubt there's much chance many (if any) will make it Stateside. But then again, you could always spec up your own X6 M with most if not all of the same trim and forgo the little number plate on the dashboard.
BMW releases complete pricing info on M3 and M4
Mon, 31 Mar 2014When BMW unveiled the M3 and M4 at the Detroit Auto Show back in January, we told you that the new sportsters were starting at $62,000 and $64,200, respectively. That leaked info, though, only told a small part of the story for the new M cars. Now, we have the complete pricing sheet on the new coupe and sedan, direct from BMW.
The pricing intel that we had at the time was correct - prices start at $62,000 for four doors and $64,200 for two. Those prices don't include the $925 destination charge. Potential customers should also plan on spending an extra $550, as seven of the eight paint options are of the metallic variety. BMW's trademark Alpine White is the only no-cost paint option.
As for the cabin, customers will, interestingly, have the choice of a cloth/leather combination as standard. That's in addition to the standard suite of leather options. There are also extended leather and full leather options, for $950 and $3,500, respectively. There are three option packages available, covering all the extra goodies for the M3 and M4.
