I am selling my M5 after 2 years of ownership as it is sadly time to move onto another vehicle. I have plans of starting a family and I need something more practical so the M5 has to go. This vehicle has many top of the line upgrades that you will not find on other cars for sale regionally. It currently has 85,000 miles and has been my daily driver for the past 2 years. Was CPO'd until Dec 2011.

Not only is this the ideal color combination, but this vehicle includes the following upgrades:

Custom Eurocharged Tune $900 Resulting in 25 more wheel horsepower and torque. (I have before and after dyno results)
Dinan Exhaust with custom x pipe (secondary resonator delete) $4500
The sound of this system is symphonic without being obnoxious. The right combination of aggressiveness while maintaining some subtlty.
Custom ghost chrome powder coated BBS rims done by none other than the exclusive Proformance Industries in New Rochelle, NY. $1300
A unique black finish with a metallic silver clear coat gives these rims a two tone look. Very unique!
Cree LED error free angel eye upgrade $150

BMW planning to stretch i3 into i5 family hauler?

Sat, 30 Nov 2013

If you're sweet on the new BMW i3 but wish it had more space to carry people and stuff, we've got good news for you. According to Autocar, BMW is planning on stretching the platform that underpins the i3 to create a new model, expected to be called i5.
The stretch job would add an extra four inches of legroom in the back and another six inches of rear overhang to the benefit of cargo space. The result would create a vehicle longer than the current Mini Countryman - although the next Countryman is likely to be even larger. As Autocar points out, the process of extending the i3's composte passenger cell likely wouldn't be as difficult or cost-intensive as lengthening a conventional metal chassis, although the rear doors would need to be re-engineered.
Whether the resulting vehicle would more closely resemble a hatchback, wagon, minivan or something in between remains to be seen, however BMW is said to have already registered the nameplates i1 through i8, signalling that the possibility is at least there to add more members to its new EV family.

BMW says current M3 sold out, no new AWD M models planned

Mon, 06 May 2013

Car and Driver asked the head of BMW M, Friedrich Nitschke, a few questions about what the go-fast division had in mind for the future, and was rewarded with some enlightening answers. The best news to purist ears is that Nitschke said customers don't want all-wheel drive on their M cars, so it's the rear wheels alone that will propel new product into the future. If you want both an M badge and four driven wheels, it's the X5 M, X6 M and M Performance models you're looking for in the catalog.
"Mixed bag" is the phrase you're looking for regarding the other answers. Nitschke said that future M engines "at the core of their architecture" would "be closer to BMW AG engines" that are optimized for M cars, instead of following in the line of unique marvels like the V10 and naturally aspirated V8. They will keep the high redlines, however, with Nitschke saying "there is room beyond" the 7,000 rpm mark in BMW's current V8 turbos.
Managing weight will keep the same priority for M that it is for every other brand, so electrically assisted power steering is coming, as is an "unconventional" materials mix. At the smaller end of the M scale, Nitschke described three-cylinder engines as "attractive," saying that the brand can produce more than 310 horsepower from a three-pot.

Next-generation BMW 5 Series spied in Touring trim

Wed, 10 Jul 2013

It almost seems as if BMW just started selling the current-generation 5 Series, yet one of our spy photographers has already spotted a next-generation prototype in Touring form. Little is known about the luxury wagon in this early stage of testing, but it is expected to weigh much less than the current car, which, in 528i Touring guise with an automatic transmission, tips the scale at over 3,800 pounds. It is also expected to have the latest in driver-assistance technology. Despite the weight savings, and judging from the photos, it looks to have proportions similar to the current car, but don't expect the makeshift headlight and taillight clusters to make it onto the production model.
The crucial question for potential Touring customers in the United States is whether BMW will do the unexpected and import it here. The company's track record indicates that it will be sold in Rest of World markets only, but we're hoping that the next 5 Series will end the Touring's U.S. hiatus (and the 5 Series Gran Turismo's reign), which began in 2003 at the end of the E39 generation.
