2004 Bmw M3 Base Coupe 2-door 3.2l on 2040-cars
Bradenton, Florida, United States
For sale is my 2004 BMW M3 E46 with 87,000 original miles. The M3 is a 2-door coupe and has a silver exterior and black leather interior. The vehicle is equipped with an SMG transmission, leather, sunroof, sport seats, all power options, paddle shift, parking sensors, 19" alloy wheels with 4 newer Yokohama tires, cd player, and ice cold A/C. The M3 has been very well maintained and has zero mechanical issues (everything works- power options etc), no major leaks, no engine or transmission concerns. The M3 drives and handles amazingly, for those who love the SMG it's still unbelievable. I noted the minor exterior scratches (see pics), but for a 10 year old car it's as good as gets, minor accidents showing prior to my ownership. I have had no issues or incidents with this car and have loved every minute of ownership. I now have a family and other priorities, so unfortunately it's time to sell. Florida car with "Clear Title" ready to go, just needs a new home. Thanks for bidding!

BMW discussing new plant with Mexican authorities
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Drawn in by low wages and manufacturing costs, BMW could be the next automaker to set up a manufacturing facility in Mexico. Automotive News is reporting that the German automaker has had discussions with local Mexican governments regarding a possible assembly plant, but there is no word as to when a decision may come down. Last we heard, BMW was reportedly looking to build the 3 Series in Mexico.
A key determining factor for this new plant is a free-trade agreement between the US and Europe, which according to the article, would give BMW better "flexibility and cost structure" to open another plant in North America. In terms of luxury automakers, Audi is currently building a new plant in Mexico and Mercedes-Benz is considering opening one in conjunction with Nissan for the CLA-Class, and in the bigger picture, Honda and Mazda are also preparing to kick off vehicle production in Mexico.
This BMW 2 Series ad has run afoul of Aussie ad watchdogs [w/poll]
Tue, 29 Apr 2014A complaint by an Australian movie-goer has put the brakes on an extended in-theater ad campaign by BMW, and drawn the attention of the country's Advertising Standards Board. According to the anonymous complaint, the ad "portrays an unfavorable message, contrary to safe and sensible driving."
The ASB upheld the complaint, which said the ad for the new M235i showed driving "typical of hoon activity," thanks to the burnouts, dusty drifts and runs up to redline. It's that last one that seems to have gotten the spot in the most trouble, with the ASB acknowledging that even though the car wasn't shown breaking the speed limit, the ad was in violation of a voluntary code of conduct for automotive advertising, according to Australia's Go Auto.
BMW doesn't seem to agree, pointing out that the ad uses creative editing, aggressive camera angles and other filming tricks to "add visual impact."
BMW dishes on 'lightweight' 2014 M4
Mon, 15 Jul 2013BMW's M cars are not what we'd call featherweights. Sure, the big, bruising twin-turbocharged V8s deliver a lot of power, but the fact of the matter is that more weight often equates to less fun.
Which is why we're so excited over a recent sit-down the blokes at Top Gear had with BMW's product manager for small and medium cars, Matt Collins. The chat led to talk of the M3 Coupe replacing M4. Collins confirmed that, yes, the new M4 would be turbocharged. The new engine will also be a six-cylinder, which should make purists happy.
"What we'd like is more focus on lightweight engineering." -Matt Collins
