For sale I have a beautiful RARE 1999 e36 M3 convertible! This is the last year of the e36 chassis and a very collectable/valuble vehicle!
The car starts, runs and drives absolutely flawless with no issues at all. I would take this car on 1,000 mile road trip without hesitation. Exterior condition of the car is near mint condition aside from minor rock chips on front bumper/hood area from normal driving, not bad at all though.
Interior is in great shape for the year with no rips at all, but overall does show some signs of age.
The car is an automatic with 169k miles on it and runs like a car with 50k miles on it.

THE OTHER DAY, SOMEONE CUT OUT THE REAR WINDOW OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP.. WHOEVER DID IT WAS A PROFESSIONAL AND DID IT NICE AND NEAT, BUT THE REAR WINDOW IS MISSING AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. The top only goes up and down manually as the rear motor in the trunk is seized up.. I am not sure if you can get just a rear window for this car, but worse case, a new complete top is $250 here on ebay and a top motor is less then $200 used.

This car books for over $10,000, heres your chance to get a rare and super clean example as BMW's ultimate driving machine!
We take cash, loan checks, personal checks (have to clear before you take possession of vehicle) bank wires, paypal transfers and major credit cards.

I can usually have a vehicle delivered to your front door for $500 or less. I can also pick a buyer up at the nearest airport so you can drive the car home yourself.

Police arrest 'Fastest Lap Around Manhattan' driver [w/video]

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

Don't speed. Don't drive recklessly. Don't try to break the unofficial record for a lap of Manhattan. And if you go against this reasonable advice, do not, under any circumstances, record it and post the video on YouTube. If you do, you'll end up like Christopher Adam Tang - under arrest and facing a bevy of charges relating to the video.
Tang posted the video, which showed him lapping Manhattan in 24 minutes last Wednesday, and it quickly went viral. Now Tang, who went by the online moniker AfroDuck, is in cuffs. According to a local CBS affiliate, he was picked up at his home on Wednesday evening by police, who also seized the car used in the video, a 2006 BMW Z4.
What isn't clear is how Tang was caught. His video seems carefully done in that there are no outwardly visible signs that point to him, while the video itself is clearly sped up. While the NYPD hasn't come out and said that Tang was caught due to its extensive surveillance systems around the city, police commissioner Ray Kelly did point out that the new systems "will assist in this type of investigation." Let that serve as a warning to anyone that tries to break the 24-minute barrier. Scroll down to watch the full video.

BMW and Mini shuffle NA management, McDowell to retire

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

BMW and Mini recently shuffled top personnel in their design departments, and now BMW of North America will reorganize its management to improve customer relations. Peter Miles (pictured), currently the executive vice president of operations, will take a newly created position, vice president of sales channel development and customer relations, while Jim McDowell, vice president of Mini of the Americas, will retire.
Chris Koenders, president of BMW Group Netherlands, will move take Miles' spot as executive vice president of operations. David Duncan, western region vice president, will take McDowell's job as vice president of Mini of the Americas. Finishing off the management switcharoo is Peter Witt, who will move from his current position as Managing Director of BMW Sweden to take Duncan's job as western region vice president.
"We are intensifying our customer-driven focus and these changes will influence the entire organization to continue improving all phases of the customer journey from prospect to purchase and throughout the ownership cycle," says Ludwig Willisch, president and CEO of BMW NA. For more information on the management reorganization, check out the press release below.

BMW V8-powered Ford Model A is the definition of Hot Rod

Thu, 20 Jun 2013

Today, hotrodding has a pretty staid definition. Take one classic American car, add one classic American V8, sprinkle with tire smoke and you pretty much have every hot rod to roll out of a shop in the last 40 years. Mike Borroughs knows it wasn't always this way. Once upon a time, getting your bucket to go faster meant grabbing whatever parts were lazing about the yard, bolting them together with a bit of ingenuity and laughing your way down the quarter mile. It's in that spirit that Burroughs built his 1928 Ford Model A.
Rather than turn to the tired flathead or the common Chevrolet small block, Burroughs plucked a 4.0-liter V8 from a 1995 BMW 7 Series. With 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, the engine has no trouble shuffling the old A around town. He had to build a custom chassis to get everything to cooperate, but the result is a 1,500-pound heathen that looks built to harass dry lake beds. You can check it out in the video below. Be warned, the soundtrack by Hanni el Khatib may not be safe for work - awesomeness of this caliber rarely is.
