THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY BLACK 850CI WITH TAN INTERIOR.

MECHANICALLY THE CAR IS IN PRETTY GOOD CONDITION , IT HAS HAD A NEW SET OF PLUG LEADS , LOWER SUMP GASKET , INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET ,  NEW ALTERNATOR , 2 NEW BATTERYS , UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS , FRONT AND REAR BILSTEIN SHOCKS , NEW CROSS DRILLED ROTORS ALL ROUND AND A SET OF AFTERMARKET RIMS WITH YOKOHAMA TIRES (ABOUT 2K MILES)

THE INTERIOR HAS HAD ALMOST ALL PARTS REPLACED INCLUDING DOOR PANELS  , CENTER CONSOLE TRIM , NEW HEADLINER , SUNROOF PANEL , REAR DECK PANEL , M-TECH EURO STYLE STEERING WHEEL , RADIO WAS UPGRADED WITH A BMW TRAFFIC PRO AND ALPINE 4 CHANNEL AMP,  THE SPEAKERS WERE ALSO REPLACED IN STOCK LOCATIONS.

THINGS THAT NEED ATTENTION , SHIMMY ABOUT 40-50 MPH (I THINK THE RIMS NEED HUD CENTRIC RINGS) , WINDSHIELD HAS CRACK , ODC DISPLAY HAS SOME DEAD PIXELS , SUNROOF WORKS BUT JAMS (AFTER I REPLACED SUNROOF PANEL)

OVERALL THE BODYWORK IS OKAY , IT HAS SOME LITTLE DINGS AND SCUFF MARKS (MOSTLY FROM THE KIDS IN THE GARAGE)

I STATED WITH THE INTENTION OF RESTOREING THE CAR , I PUT A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY INTO REPLACING THE INTERIOR  . THE CAR WOULD BE PERFECT FOR SOMEONE LOOKING TO FINISH THE PROJECT . ITS HALF WAY THERE.

2014 BMW 328d xDrive Sport Wagon

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

There's a running joke among auto writers that the perfect car would be a diesel-powered, rear-drive wagon with manual transmission and no power accessories whatsoever. It would only be available in brown and would somehow be as fun to drive as a Mazda MX-5 Miata. Makes total sense, right?
Realistically, no manufacturer is ever going to completely fulfill our wishes, no matter how much we beg, plead, kick and scream about our dream car that most of us would actually never buy. The best we can do is hope for a vehicle that mixes some aspects of this ideal journalist's car. And in today's world, that vehicle just might be the BMW 328d xDrive Sport Wagon.
No, it's not available with a manual gearbox, and power can only be sent through an xDrive all-wheel-drive system. It's also not available in brown (although both Mojave Metallic and Sparkling Bronze Metallic are acceptable stand-ins), but it ticks the two main boxes of being a diesel-powered wagon, one of only a couple such models in the United States.

BMW pondering hardcore M4 to celebrate 100 years?

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

2013 is the year for Lamborghini, Aston Martin and the Porsche 911, but 2016 will be the year for BMW. That's when the Munich-based maker of the Ultimate Driving Machine will celebrate its 100th birthday, with what will probably be a year-long celebration. Part of that 365-day party will, reportedly, be an even hotter version of the new BMW M4, which is set to debut in January at the Detroit Auto Show.
Yes, according to Australia's Car Sales, the über-M4 has been hinted at by higher-ups at BMW's M division, who claim the rear seats will be removed, much like the M3 GTS, while other weight-saving measures will be used to try and bring the M4's weight below 3,000 pounds. There's no mention of engine mods, but if the M4's biturbocharged six is as good as we think it'll be, that's not a deal-breaker for us.
The lightening process on the so-called M4 GTS would involve replacing the hood and front fenders with parts made of carbon fiber, while the doors would switch from steel to aluminum. Besides the deletion of the rear seats, Car Sales is predicting lightweight racing buckets, with a carbon-fiber shell and a minimal amount of padding. Expect lots and lots of Alcantara, in place of leather.

The Homer to contest 24 Hours of LeMons

Thu, 27 Jun 2013

It's finally happened. A 24 Hours of LeMons team has built the definitive interpretation of The Homer from The Simpsons for competition in an upcoming race. As you may recollect, The Homer is the fictional car designed by Homer Simpson for his brother's car company. Designed with a separate compartment for screaming children and other Homer-centric goodies, the animated machine bankrupted its parent company and put Homer's brother out of a job. Now we get to watch it race other crap cans as it tackles Southern California's Buttonwillow Raceway on June 29. Scott Chamberlain, Kris Linquist, Reid Conti, Ben Reilly and Mike Yepes will helm the machine, and Jeff Herman serves as the team's creative director.
The racer is the latest incarnation of a well-abused BMW 3 Series. The team campaigned the same E30 under the "Prickstine" banner as a Chrysler Imperial tribute and "Porcubimmer," the latter being a riff on the ever-popular joke about the difference between porcupines and BMW models. Never gets old. You can check out a video of the finished Homer below, and be sure to like the team on Facebook to see updates from the race. Now, about that Canyonero...
