This is my personal daily driving machine! I drive it and maintain it like it should be. I am the second owner and bought it with 56k. It now has 125k. I have owned Ferraris, Porsches, Range Rovers and Mercedes. I love cars and have enjoyed driving this one daily for 5 years. Owned a blue 850i before this one and have enjoyed these 850is more than any other car that I have owned. I recently completed a 5,000 mile road trip around the west coast and had no issues with the car what so ever!
After the car hit 100k on the odometer, I have replaced the following parts; 2 batteries, rear mufflers, 4 tires, drive shaft and u joints, transmission mounts, flushed the Tranny, both o2 sensors, 12 fuel injectors, expansion tank, radiator hoses, belts and pulleys and tensioners, AC compressor and belts, converted to R134, power steering pump, master brake booster, 2 accumulators, windshield, both driving lights and head lights, trunk shocks, wiper blades, full front end suspension, tie rods, links, and all bushings, brake pads, radiator flush and always maintain fresh engine oil! If you are looking at any BMW near 100k, make certain that all of these items have been replaced or you will find yourself with some very large repair bills. The cars are bulletproof to drive, as long as they have been completely maintained.
The car is a real eye catcher being glossy red and creme interior! The paint is shiny, but has a few blemishes that I may take car of shortly; a chip in the front bumper, and loose chin spoiler, 2 driver door dings, and a key scratch on the left rear quarter panel. The interior is solid without any tears cuts or popped stitches, however it needs a good cleaning and shows some signs of wear. All of the windows and sunroof work as they should!!
The exhaust sounds much better than stock. Some of the led crystals are burned out on the dash screen. The tires all have a transferable warranty from Discount Tire. The headliner is sagging. The AC blows cold, but some of the climate controls have sticky buttons.
I will enjoy, maintain and drive this car for the next 100k if it does not sell. You can fly in and drive this home without any worries as it is!! Love it!!

BMW M5 arrives in Monterey packing 600 hp and matte paint
Fri, 15 Aug 2014What's a sure-fire way to make a vehicle better? Well, you can add power or make it more exclusive. BMW has done both, just in time to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the legendary M5 sedan.
Only 300 examples of the car you see above, the M5 30th Anniversary Edition, will be sold to the public, and those lucky owners will enjoy the most exclusive, most powerful M5 ever made. Power continues to flow from the standard M5's twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V8, which has had its wick turned up to 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. The sprint to 60 now happens in just 3.7 seconds, which is still a scarcely fathomable speed among sports cars, let alone comfortable, finely upholstered sedans.
Speaking of that upholstery, Alcantara and leather seats and an Alcantara steering wheel identify the exclusive M5, while special sill plates further call out the car's unique spec. Outside, the standard Competition Package adds 20-inch wheels and black chrome badges, while 30th Anniversary Editions wear BMW's Frozen Dark Silver matte paint.
Are you the next BMW X5?
Tue, 15 Jan 2013Who knew that diecast model makers could be such a good source of leaks? Less than a month after a diecast model 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA in China, someone overseas at Diecast Empire or Jadi Modelcraft could get a bath in boiling oil for leaking uncamouflaged images of the next-generation BMW X5.
Naturally, that assumes that this image from a brochure from a Jadi brochure is indeed the F15 BMW X5 - it was posted to Diecast Empire's Facebook page. In its favor, the lines all add up if we compare it to the most revealing spy shots we have of the coming crossover - the headlight corners, the metal trim separating the kidney grille from the opening just above the license plate, the cut of the swage line, and the fact that the model picture reveals all of the most important character pieces that BMW has kept covered.
There's something written on the door of the model image that isn't in the spy shots, but that could be an xDrive badge. We will see the genuine article soon enough and we'll know for sure. For now, we might have already seen its facsimile in miniature.
2014 BMW 6 Series gets Frozen Brilliant White convertible, manual option for M6
Mon, 25 Mar 2013BMW has announced updates to the 6 Series lineup today, including a special "Frozen" edition of the convertible, and a 640i Gran Coupe in all-wheel-drive trim.
The 2014 BMW 6 Series Convertible Frozen Brilliant White Edition (catchy name, right?) will be available from select BMW dealers this May, and will offer buyers the signature paint, Frozen Black mirror caps, a black grille and uniquely designed, 20-inch M Performance wheels. Just 100 examples of the FBWE 6er will be produced, with both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive cars in the mix, for starting prices of $106,995 and $110,095, respectively (both prices include $895 in destination and handling charges).
BMW has also informed us that all of its 6 Series Gran Coupe models will now be available with the company's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. No pricing has been given for the xDrive versions of the car as of yet.
