APB MOTORS presents a 2001 BMW 740iL with only 96102 original mileage. This BMW is top of the line and fully loaded with all options! It is a gorgeous Charcoal Gray Metallic color exterior with matching gray leather interior. It looks amazing and is just a pleasure to drive.

The Exterior is in very good condition. The engine bay is very clean and there are no leaks of any kind. There is very minimal wear visible. This is the iL, longer model, giving an exceptional amount of space in the back area. There are a few minor scratches on the exterior paint. The passenger rear door has a surface scratch, the drivers side door mirror has a scuff on the side, and drivers rear door has a scuff on the bottom of the door. There are no major dings. This wear is very normal for this year BMW.

The Interior is also in a very good condition for this year and mileage. The car is LOADED with options, aside from standard options of this model, it also has Wide-screen GPS-Navigation, FRONT AND REAR Heated Leather seats, Rear Power Privacy Shade, Tinted, Rear Park Sensors! There are a few cosmetic issues on the interior, some of the front compartments do not open/close properly, there are a few strain cracks through the wood grain, drivers seat shows most wear from normal use of vehicle. This is all very normal for this year BMW. Otherwise it is a great looking 7 series BMW, very luxury and runs awesome!

The History This BMW had a side damage which resulted in the drivers side front, and passenger both doors being replaced in color (no paint on doors). All work was done at our repair shop, which specializes in German vehicles. This car looks amazing and there is no sign of any work done on the car. Everything has been done to Dealership quality and standards!

BMW and Samsung team up with Galaxy Gear smartwatch that talks to your i3

Without a doubt, the most impressive thing that BMW showed at CES this year was a driverless M235i drifting flawlessly around a wet track at Las Vegas Speedway. However, that bit of robotic helmsmanship wasn't the only trick the German company had up its sleeve. Or, more to the point, on its wrist.
Taking a page from rival Mercedes-Benz, BMW demonstrated how a "smartwatch," in this case the Samsung Galaxy Gear, could be made to function usefully with a vehicle, in this case the BMW i3. Calling it a "research application," BMW showed off its BMW i Remote App on the Galaxy Gear; the app gives information about state of battery charge, available range and whether or not all the doors and windows are closed or open. Perhaps more useful still, the watch can be used to send a destination to the i3's navigation unit, adjust the climate control in preparation for a trip and can recognize voice commands. Nifty stuff, if not world-shaking, that could help tech-obsessed luxury buyers take a second look at the upcoming BMW EV.

Xcar checks if BMW's i8 offers moves as electrifying as its looks

If you were to plot the general opinion about hybrids since their introduction among auto enthusiasts, the resulting graph would likely be shaped somewhat like a "V." In the beginning interest was high, simply due the novelty of these new powertrains, then the line would gradually fall as the models got the stereotype of being boring commuters. Today, though, things might be back on the upswing. Vehicles like the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and BMW i8 are showing that a hybrid doesn't have to be synonymous for dull. In its latest video, Xcar Films aims to find out if BMW's electrified sports coupe actually earns the brand's old moniker as the ultimate driving machine.
While the focus here is on what the i8 is like behind the wheel, one of the main highlights for the viewer is the interesting ways that Xcar shoots the BMW. It's not necessarily a beautiful vehicle, but seeing it in motion reveals all sorts of little intricacies that still photos don't pick up. For example, our eye catches the flying buttresses and little crevices scooped out of the corners when we get a look at the rear. It's just a fun car to look at.
With its 1.5-liter, turbocharged, three-cylinder engine and electric motor, the i8 positions itself as the future of automotive performance. But its intriguing looks and cutting-edge use of carbon fiber would be wasted if the coupe didn't drive well. We won't spoil the final verdict, though, you'll have to watch the video above.

BMW R1200 GS Adventure is made for epic roadtrips

BMW Motorrad has taken the wraps off of its newest GS Adventure model. Based on the R1200 GS, the Adventure trim makes an already tough bike just a bit tougher, thanks to a number of technical changes that improve off-road capabilities without sacrificing any of the R1200 GS' riding manners.
The most noticeable change might be the larger fuel tank, up in size from 5.3 gallons to 7.9 gallons, although this largely due to the Adventure's lower fuel economy - it loses about three miles per gallon to the regular R1200 GS. BMW claims that the larger tank won't inhibit riding comfort, thanks to its narrow design and placement in the bike's frame. The spring travel is 0.8 inches longer, while there's nearly half an inch of extra ground clearance, which is largely responsible for its improve off-road talents. A new, larger seat promises a more comfortable ride and a greater range of adjustability, while a few tweaks within the engine offer an even smoother delivery of the bike's 125 horsepower and 92 pound-feet of torque.
