I have for sale my '01 BMW 740iL sedan. The car is Anthrazit (Gray) with medium Gray leather interior. Car has lots of options including power heated front seats with memory, dual auto climate control, 5" wide screen factory navigation system just to name a few. The engine, & transmission run, & shift smooth, & properly as they should. There are a few issue's with car as should be expected from a 12yr. old vehicle. The rear passenger window will need a new regulator, motor works fine. The front drivers seat shows a little wear, but "no rip's" in the leather front, or back. To my knowledge all other features work as they should. The main issue with this car is "Cosmetic"! The car does have some rust in small area's around the car. The largest area is driver's side door. I purchased a door that will be included with sale of the car, will have to be painted. The few places on the body don't affect, or hinder the "performance, or function" of the vehicle. I have receipt's for "all parts" replaced since I've owned the car. I had new water pump, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, camshaft position sensor, front brake rotors/ceramic pads, upper & lower front control arms, factory floor mats, factory key, & a few other items. Car comes with all original books, & manuals. I have 19" factory BMW wheels that really bring the car out. I just had (2) New Michelin Primacy 245 45 19's put on front of car @ cost of about $618, with less than 100 miles on them. Overall very strong running car, with a lot of miles left on the clock. The car is for sale "As Is Where Is" with "No Warranty or None Implied" buyer is responsible for arranging pick-up/shipping. Will be a "very beautiful" automobile once the few places on the body are repaired on this amazing automobile! BMW M5 arrives in Monterey packing 600 hp and matte paint
Fri, 15 Aug 2014What's a sure-fire way to make a vehicle better? Well, you can add power or make it more exclusive. BMW has done both, just in time to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the legendary M5 sedan.
Only 300 examples of the car you see above, the M5 30th Anniversary Edition, will be sold to the public, and those lucky owners will enjoy the most exclusive, most powerful M5 ever made. Power continues to flow from the standard M5's twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V8, which has had its wick turned up to 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. The sprint to 60 now happens in just 3.7 seconds, which is still a scarcely fathomable speed among sports cars, let alone comfortable, finely upholstered sedans.
Speaking of that upholstery, Alcantara and leather seats and an Alcantara steering wheel identify the exclusive M5, while special sill plates further call out the car's unique spec. Outside, the standard Competition Package adds 20-inch wheels and black chrome badges, while 30th Anniversary Editions wear BMW's Frozen Dark Silver matte paint.
BMW joins the early holiday advertising fray with three new ads
Thu, 06 Nov 2014October 31 is no longer known as Halloween, or All Saints' Eve or even as that day when all children simultaneously develop huge cavities. It's now known as the day before Christmas/holiday advertising begins. Seriously, as of November 1, it seems like companies across the country and from every industry have declared open season on holiday ad campaigns. It's all premature enough that we're already feeling our inner Grinch showing, but at least some of the ads are better done than others.
Among them are new spots from BMW, which has arrived with this mini-campaign of three 30-second, Christmas-themed spots. There's a cameo from Santa Claus, who's at the helm of a sleek M6 Gran Coupe in one spot, while a 3 Series Gran Coupe slices through a slalom of Christmas trees in another. The final spot, called "Road Home", doesn't focus so much on the brand's "Ultimate Driving Machines," as it does the trip home for the holidays.

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe

It's relatively easy to snag the keys to a vehicle for a special occasion, whether that be for a road trip, tailgating or helping a friend move. And while sometimes the tailgating might happen with a Ford F-150 instead of a Range Rover and the road trip might be in a minivan rather than a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, occasionally the stars align and a special vehicle arrives for an equally special time.
That's exactly how I found myself dressed to the nines and behind the wheel of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, a $135,375 (as-tested) rocket ship, en route to a rare multi-wedding weekend to celebrate with two pairs of my closest friends on the biggest day of their lives (a very special congratulations to Kara and Zach, and Laura and Andrew). Continuing with our nuptial theme, the M mechanicals and the 6 Series Gran Coupe body are a match made in heaven.
