THIS AUTO HAS THE HIGHLINE OPTION IN IT. WHICH IS THE ROLLS ROYCE INTERIOR. BEAUTIFUL AUTO NEW. IT HAD 99,000 MILES ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT 5 YEARS AGO. THIS BEAUTIFUL CAR HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FROM THE WORD GO. I BOUGHT IT 5 YEARS AGO AND THE PERSON SELLING IT ON EBAY HAD WIRED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OUT.; I HAD THE BRAKE SYSTEM FIXED FO0R 1400.00 AND SEVERAL OTHER THINGS , WENT TO LISENCE IT AND FOUND OUT IT WOULDN"T PASS INSPECTION. COULD NEVER GET IT TO PASS. I REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION 2 YEARS AGO. THE PERSON WORKING ON IT 2 YEARS AGO LEFT THE HOOD UNLOCKED AND IT BLUE OPEN AND KILLED THE HOOD AND WINDSHIELD. IT HAS A NEW WINDSHIELD AND THE HOOD WHICH I PICKED UP A JUNK YARD WORKS FINE, BUT IS BLACK AND NEEDS SOME ATTENTION. RIGHT NOW IT NEEDS A NEW WATER PUMP AND THE ANTI LOOCK BRAKE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN. ANYWAY I AM SELLING IT FOR SCRAP. T THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOES NOT OPEN THE TIRES ARE ALMOST NEW ON BEAUTIFUL 18" PARALLEL WHEELS. THE DRIVERS SEAT SHOWS WEAR BUT THE OTHER SEATS LOOK VERY NICE. THE SUN ROOF WORKS FINE. 1 BACK WINDOW DOES NOT WORK MOST OTHER THINGS WORK FINE. I AM SELLING IT FOR THE WHEELS TIRES. BODY AND INTERIOR. BMW reveals i8 Concours d'Elegance Edition ahead of Pebble Beach
Mon, 11 Aug 2014If you want to be among the first owners in the United States of the new BMW i8, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance will be the place to be next Saturday. That's where Gooding & Company will auction off this one-of-a-kind hybrid supercar.
The BMW i8 Concours d'Elegance Edition was previously slated to be the very first i8 in North America, but has now apparently been downgraded to the guarantee of being among the firsts. In any event, it packs a series of special touches to make it unique. For starters, it's decked out in matte grey with unique brown leather upholstery, blue accents and Pure Impulse Tera World trim, with BMW i8 logos embossed into the headrests, special treat plates and the signatures of several key BMW personnel on the rear parcel shelf.
Pending government approval, it's set to be the first vehicle in the US fitted with laser headlights, and comes equipped with a special key, Louis Vuitton luggage and a "professional edition" BMW Charging Station. Today is a national holiday for pranksters with the Internet acting as a serious enabler, and it's always fun to see what kind of vivid imaginations exist out there in the automotive world. The abundance of fake news gets a little old as the day rolls on, but we did manage to get in a few chuckles thanks to a handful of major automakers and automotive news outlets that got into the pranking spirit this year
Some of our favorites this year includes Subaru showing what happens when you combine a bunch of rumors, a Corvette some may have already thought was a joke or Honda providing some in-car innovation circa the late 1980s. Honestly, we're still waiting for official confirmation from Mitsubishi that the recently introduced 2014 Mirage is an elaborate April Fools' joke using a failed design intended for the 1995 Geo Metro. We dug up as much "official" OEM foolishness we could find, as well as some of our other favorites, and posted them all below.

So, while we might have more of an opportunity to test some of the most interesting vehicles on the new car scene than does your average gear head, we can still be found whiling away those long afternoon hours looking at used cars and thinking about what could be.
Just the other day, we had a vivid reminder about one of our dream cars from the very recent past, the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe. If you didn't catch it, Michael Harley had a great time testing and reviewing the new Dinan S3-R version of the car, which throws an impressively engineered turbo and suspension tune on a BMW that was damn near perfect out of the box.
In the Comments section of that review, a few savvy Autoblog readers pointed out that our estimated price for a used donor car, set at $50,000, was low. Odd, we thought, as the car retailed for less than $50k ($46,135) when it was new in 2011. So we started checking around.
