1985 BMW 735i For Restoration/Repair or Parts, Much Invested Over The Years!
I have owned this BMW for over 12 years. It used to be my family car and then my daily driver until I received a company car back in 2003, I had it registered until 2006. Since then I would just start it every month or so just to ensure everything was in proper working order. The last time I drove it around my neighborhood was last summer. At this time I cannot get her to turn over and do not have the time or will to do so (I have 4 other cars I currently maintain for the road). The car is in good condition, especially for the age with an average of only~ 5,500 miles per year. (154,696 total). Everything was working fine on the car with the exception of the A/C when I stopped driving it regularly. The car comes with the original metric size rims in addition to the MSW basket weave rims currently installed. I had owned many BMW's over the years and used to be an avid member of the BMWCCA Pocono Region, I have since migrated towards Mercedes and Porsche (PCA club member).
The Good:
I spared no expense back in the day to make this car right for my wife and children. I installed new Bavarian Autosport Springs, new shocks, new airflow meter ($600+) and much, much more. The car has held up very well over the years and still presents nicely, inside and out. Leather is in Good condition as is the wood on the dash and doors. Running on Mobil 1 synthetic since my purchase.
The not so good:
The car has not been running very much over the last 6 years, sitting in either my garage or under my carport. It has a few small rust spots as shown in photos. There is a small split in the drivers seat, radio is missing, a few minor cracks on the dashboard, one of the rims shows some scuffing. The Continental tires have plenty of tread but exhibit dry rot from sitting so long. It is likely other minor issues may surface as a result of the car sitting as long as it has, I did put fuel treatment in to prevent degeneration and oxidation and fresh gas when I ran it last year.
This car is solid and sure would not take very much to make road worthy again, or could be a great source for parts if needed.
I have 100% positive feedback and will do everything reasonable to ensure this continues.
Will only accept bidders with at least 10 positive feedbacks, $300 deposit due with winning bid balance of payment due within 7 days, cash or Paypal..

Drifting can be dangerous for spectators, too
Fri, 02 May 2014Okay kids, here's your lesson for the day. When you go to a motorsports event (that isn't a rally), there are these things called walls. They're big and hard. There might be stacks of tires in front of them. There are also these things called barriers, catch fences and run-off areas. They exist to protect you, the spectator, when something inevitably goes wrong on the track.
If you don't have these things, you probably shouldn't be watching whatever four-wheeled mayhem is taking place. This gentleman learned that the hard way, after getting a bit too close while some hoon drifts his BMW 3 Series.
Scroll down for the video, and be warned, while there isn't any blood that we can see, some viewers might find the sight of a human getting punted by a BMW disturbing.

Every once in a while, I find myself, despite my solitary leanings and inherent modesty, working out in some kind of class setting. The tone and tenor of these classes ranges wildly - from the quiet, follow-the-leader variety, to those with a kind of Cult of Personality man or woman calling the shots, usually with idiom-laden shouting and theatrical hair. Despite their personal variation and range of professional effectiveness, there's one common concept that most instructors bring up at some point: working with intention.
The idea, as it relates to physical fitness, is that focusing your brain on the movement at hand - the rate of your own breathing, or the muscle groups being worked for instance - helps to perform the act efficiently and correctly. Having spent a happy majority of the last decade in an exercise-free near-debauch, I was a bit surprised to find out that this kind of mental game really works pretty well.
There's no substitution for BMW's E30 Mmmmm3
Mon, 17 Jun 2013If you told someone that you had a friend with a four-cylinder BMW who "would let me wash the car," and in exchange for the privilege then let you drive that clean BMW once around the block, your first question would probably be "What kind of BMW is this?" There's a chance you wouldn't be surprised once you found out the coupe in question was the E30 M3, a car our own Zach Bowman dubbed the "Mmmmm3."
Petrolicious talks to Gabor Mester about the car he fell in love with, a black version of the original "Munich mauler" that was owned by the parents of a high-school friend - oh, and Mester was also in high school when this washing and driving took place. When the original owners were ready to sell, Mestor was ready to buy, and he hasn't had a single regret about it since.
You can enjoy his story in his words in the video below.
