Bmw Wagon 525 Iat Sport 2003 With M5 Package 525it on 2040-cars
Douglasville, Georgia, United States
Up for bid is a 2003 BMW 525iAT Sports Wagon with the M5 package interior. I have had this nice ride for 2 1/2 years now. I sold my Harley to get it because I was about to become a Dad. This car was well kept by the owner before me. All the belts and hoses were replace when I got it. Brand new tire were install about year and half ago. I've had the car serviced here in Atlanta at Brackston Auto BMW. As you can see from the pictures, this car has been babied. the only thing that I did not bother to fix was the back lift door actuator the holds the door up and the pixels in the radio go in and out, but radio work just fine. There are just a few chip on the front of the hood from rock on the highway and one frog light just blew out. All seats have no holes. I really don't want to this car, but I am married now and 3 girls. Yeah you heard it right. Now we need somethig with a 3rd row. There are not many 525iat sports out there that look as good as this one. I looked for 3 months until I found it in Orland Fla. Thanks for viewing. Feel free to ask any quetions you have. Happy bidding, |

BMW puts a sheep in wolf's clothing with 2 Series Active Tourer M Sport
Thu, 27 Mar 2014BMW is charting new territory with the 2 Series. No, not the two-door model - that's just the kind of rear-drive coupe for which the brand is known. But the Active Tourer (which only shares its series designation with the coupe) is a front-drive tall hatchback/MPV category buster, and that's not exactly what comes to mind when you think of Bimmers. As such, the 2 Series Active Tourer is bound to turn off some of the brand's faithful, but this latest M Sport kit could at least ease the pain somewhat.
The sport package for the Active Tourer packs all the usual suspects: a more aggressive aero kit, retuned suspension, blacked-out grille, 17- or 18-inch alloys and an interior with sports seats trimmed in blue-stitched Alcantara. Top all that off with an Estoril Blue paint job and you've got a compact family hauler that might look the part, and maybe handle a bit tighter, yet it naturally stops short of the full M treatment (or even an M Performance spec like you'd find in the M235i coupe). All of which is probably just as well, because that might be the only thing BMW purists would object to more than the existence of a front-drive BMW MPV in the first place.
BMW 1 Series GT morphs into production-spec 225i Active Tourer
Mon, 16 Dec 2013Based on the effort - and money - BMW is spending to break off the coupes and convertibles in its lineup as even-numbered models (like the new 2 Series and 4 Series), we figured the production version of the 2012 Concept Active Tourer was a lock to wear the 1 Series GT name. These spy shots paint a different picture, however, as they show the car seemingly in full showroom-ready trim during a photo shoot, wearing the 225i name indicating that it will be in the 2 Series family.
While it's still very possible that this badging is the final bit of trickery for disguising the front-wheel-drive 1 Series GT, the hatchback itself appears to be the real deal. Aside from new fascias, a smaller grille and slightly different lights, the styling of this "225i" stayed pretty true to the Concept Active Tourer. Thanks to our long-lensed photographer, we also get a brief glimpse inside the hatchback, which reveals a two-tiered instrument panel layout including the free-standing navigation display that is similar to the concept car.
Regardless of what name this new model will wear, expect it to be unveiled at next year's Geneva Motor Show in March before arriving in the US sometime in 2015.
Audi to spend $17 billion to fight BMW
Sat, 29 Dec 2012It's no secret that VW Group, parent company to not only Volkswagen but also Audi, Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche and Ducati brands sold in the US, is determined to become the world's largest automaker. Even more impressive is that VW is prepared to spend billions to make it happen.
With that comes word that VW Group will be spending $17 billion on its Audi brand over the next three years to push itself above rival BMW. The money will be invested in both vehicle development (including lightweight auto design and alternative powertrains) and facilities (including expansion in Hungary, China and new operations in Mexico). The luxury brand is focused on global manufacturing infrastructure.
Already Europe's best-selling luxury brand, Audi's objective is to overtake BMW by the end of the decade by selling more than two million cars per year (BMW is shooting for 1.54 million sales in 2013). If those objectives are met, VW Group should be on track to be the industry's volume leader by 2018.
