This 535i w/ M package is my 3rd car which I purchased New, I'm the original owner and as you can see I haven't drove it and it's been most of it's life in my garage, it never seen rain, I'm a car freak and it's one of my joy.  When the car was purchased at the BMW dealer, I had a $900 paint protection applied to the exterior paint and interior leather at the BMW dealer to keep safe from bird drops, road elements etc. and the leather protected from spills and the sun's UV.  I'm very picky when it comes to my toys, I also had the brake calipers and the M wheels painted at the dealer to match the cars scheme, the front kidney grille was also replaced with a original Black BMW grille at the dealer, I also had the rear Carbon Fiber Truck Spoiler ordered and installed, spent over $3000, the car looks amazing and it's a true head turner, trust me, it's not because it's my car but the employees at the BMW dealer mentions til this day that it's the best looking 5 series that they seen yet.  All service is up to date and is still under warranty, which means you don't pay for nothing.  The car comes with all options which are: M Sport Pkg, 8 speed trans w/Sport,Comfort and Normal settings, rear view camera w sensors, Harman Kardon surround sound, BMW assist w/Bluetooth, Navigation, Premium Pkg, Cold Weather Pkg, Comfort Pkg, Keyless Start.  The reason that I'm selling is 1- don't drive it,  2- planning in buying the new corvette coming this fall.  I assure you that this car is 100% original,  original paint and never been in any accidents, it's CarFax is clean and it's never been smoked in.  I paid over 60k for this car plus $3000 for the items listed above, you are saving a lot of money compared to a new one and this is like buying a brand new car, even the interior smell is as a new car, it hurts me to sell it but the miles tells you how much I drive it.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding.

BMW says SUVs killed the sports car market

Thu, 13 Nov 2014

In many ways, we're living in a golden age of automotive performance. After all, it's possible to show up at a Dodge dealer, hand over about $60,000 and storm away with a 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat. Or for those who prefer a touch more luxury, the BMW M4, Mercedes-AMG C63 and latest Cadillac ATS-V offer between 425 and 503 horsepower, depending on your pick, with a bit more poshness. However, none of these powerful vehicles fit the classic definition of a two-place, droptop sports car, and according BMW head of sales Ian Robertson, that's because the segment is very much in the doldrums.
According to Robertson, two factors seriously wounded the classic sports car market. First, the global economic crisis of a few years ago put a serious hurt on sales, according to Bloomberg. Further worsening the situation, the boom in popularity of luxury SUVs and crossovers in the past few years hasn't allowed for much recovery. Even car-hungry China hasn't helped much because of the smog in many cities and preference among some of the very rich there to be chauffeured.
Combined, Audi TT, BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz SLK sales peaked around 114,000 units a year in 2007, but they are only expected to reach 72,000 annually by the end of the decade. Robertson is pretty pessimistic about the market's comeback too. "Post-2008, it just collapsed. I'm not so sure it'll ever fully recover," he said to Bloomberg.

2015 BMW i8 offers you a fast ride to the future for $135,700* [w/video]

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

BMW's long-form teasing and rollout of its incredibly cool i8 has put us in a unique position to report from its world debut here in Frankfurt. Typically, an auto show debut marks just the start of the information dump about a new vehicle. The i8, however, is a car that we've already driven and reviewed, so perhaps the biggest news from the show floor is the official price of the thing, as well as getting to see it live and in person, of course.
Arriving in US showrooms in the spring of 2014, the i8 performance plug-in hybrid will carry a price tag of $135,700 (*not including $925 for destination and handling charges). That kind of cash puts the i8 near the very top of the BMW range (slotting just under the top-trim 7-Series models), and will buy a massive amount of new technology.
The four-seat i8 has the look of a true supercar, and its new-tech drivetrain will offer up the performance of a stirring sports car, at least. A TwinPower Turbo, three-cylinder, 1.5-liter engine will make 231 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque that's gets sent to the rear wheels, while a 96-kilowatt electric motor doles out 131 hp and 184 lb-ft of maximum torque to the fronts. Total system output of 362 hp and 420 lb-ft allows the i8 to sprint to 62 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds with all-wheels-driven handling, and it still returns an astonishing 94 miles per gallon US.

Behind the Scenes of BMW's 'Drift Mob,' Part 2 [w/video]

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

After spending four days practicing about a dozen drift stunt moves in a parking lot for an upcoming BMW "Drift Mob" internet mini-film, Rhys Millen, Sam Hübinette, Dai Yoshihara, Rich Rutherford, and Conrad Grunewald are finally ready for show time. We are brought to the huge urban traffic circle to see the stunts performed midway through the day to observe for a couple of hours.
The undertaking is massive, with multiple cameras set up, scores of crew members, a helicopter filming from above, a rigged pickup for car-to-car shots, sidewalks lined with security and plenty of curious onlookers, and oh, yeah, a major intersection of a top world city shut down for an entire weekend.
The five drifting legends are nestled in their identical red BMW M235i coupes, which have been modified with special handbrakes but essentially nothing else you can't get on a stock version, and are listening to direction from director Mic Rodgers and stunt coordinator Riley Harper. We're basically given free rein of the set, to shoot the cars, the drivers, and at one point, even hopping in with Yoshihara for one of the admittedly more tame stunts. Even then, the g-forces are so severe that they flip our cameraphone's video recording from landscape mode to portrait. Yes, this is a pretty cool day to be reporting on cars, and as we said during our first installment of our behind the scenes coverage of Drift Mob, we're honored to be the only US media outlet here to tell the tale.
