Up for sale is my beautiful 2004 BMW 325i. The car is immaculate with only a few minor flaws for a car that is almost 10 years old.

I just had a transplant engine installed with same mileage and left no expense when performing the maintenance. Here is a list of new parts and service:

New belt, idler and pulley. New Water pump, fan clutch, hoses, radiator, transmission cooling valve, thermostat, temperature sensors tranny and radiator. New oil filter housing and gaskets, New valve cover gasket, intake gasket, exhaust gasket. New front main seal, Rear main seal, and transmission front main seal. New crank seal and kit, oil dipstick seal. New power steering hoses. New oil breather and hoses. AC evacuated and recharged with no leaks (held 29hg for 15 mins). New coolant expansion tank and warning sensor. The car has zero leaks, none.

Serviced with Genuine BMW synthetic oil and transmission fluid as well as BMW antifreeze. Car requires no servicing for 10k miles. I did everything.

Reason for transplant engine was that the coolant expansion tank cracked causing the car to overheat. The head gasket began to leak so a transplant engine was procured rather than risk a warped block issue.

NOTE: Only the engine carries a 90 day warranty, no other part of the car does.

Again, this car is immaculate for its age, you will be thoroughly pleased with the appearance, handling and performance. The car is set for another 100k miles easily and like I said, I spared no expense on the servicing and maintenance done a week ago. I have the receipts totalling over 5k.

The tires are BF Goodrich and have approx 40% tread left. They are starting to get a little noisy (Common for BFG's) but still perform fine. If you select Buy it Now, I will install a brand new set of tires on the car once you I receive your deposit.

Fly in to DFW and drive this car anywhere.

2014 BMW i3

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

A Purer Than Ever Sort Of Driving Pleasure
This all started back in 2007 when the megacity urbanization trend hit full stride and BMW began brainstorming the 2020 future of mobility. The product was thus originally called the BMW MegaCity vehicle. Then the 'i' division of BMW was officially born in 2011, and we have since been exposed to various "leaked" images and official prototype unveilings of both this i3 and the i8 eco sports car. The latter (called i12 in the halls of Munich) was originally called the Concept Vision Efficient Dynamics and presented as a diesel-hybrid.
The time is now upon us for the market launch of the plug-in i3 (called i01 internally). The wider motoring public already has its opinions and BMW is listening to all of them, so there's a bundle of nerves around these limited drives of the i3 for a select few members of the media, Autoblog included. We came to an airfield outside of Munich and were handed an i3 test car to drive around a set course filled with blue- and white-striped cones. BMW tech experts were everywhere and some of the discussions around the various technical displays even got a little heated.

Toyota close to licensing deal with BMW for fuel cell technology

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

For over a year now, we've been hearing about a potential partnership between Toyota and BMW on everything from sports cars to lithium-ion batteries, but one of the first cooperative projects between these two automakers could bring Toyota's hydrogen fuel cell technology to a BMW vehicle. Reuters is reporting that an announcement is likely to be made as soon as later this week regarding a BMW fuel cell vehicle that could be in production by 2020 with a prototype running around by 2015.
The last we heard of Toyota's fuel cell technology, it was in the FCV-R Concept that we saw at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, but there is no word how far along in development this system is. If it does come to fruition, such a vehicle for BMW would build on the automaker's commitment to hydrogen that started with the Hydrogen 7, which unlike a fuel cell vehicle, simply ran on hydrogen fuel rather than converting it to electricity for use in motors. We're definitely interested where this Toyota/BMW tie up could be headed.

Giles Taylor succeeds Ian Cameron as head of Rolls-Royce design

Thu, 28 Jun 2012

Back in the day, a Rolls-Royce looked pretty much the same as a Bentley, but with a different grille. Once BMW took over Rolls-Royce, however, it was faced with the challenge of visually separating itself from its former sister brand. And most would agree that it did so pretty well. But its cars have looked pretty much the same ever since. What Rolls-Royce needs, then, is a bit of a design shake-up. And that's just what this latest appointment could bring.
After a baker's dozen years as design director at Rolls-Royce (and twenty years designing for the BMW Group altogether), Ian Cameron is retiring from his post. In his place, Rolls-Royce has named Giles Taylor as its new director of design. In his new capacity, Taylor will report directly to BMW Group chief designer Adrian van Hooydonk, and be responsible for all design matters related to the Rolls-Royce brand and its products.
Taylor was promoted to the role from his previous position as head of exterior design for the marque, a position he's held for barely more than a year. We'll be eagerly watching to see what the veteran British car designer has in store for the future of Rolls-Royce. In the meantime you can read the full announcement below.
