1998 BMW 328ic in great shape. We have spent a ton of time and effort on it. First is a new tan top that opens with the push of a button. Brand new tires. Fresh trans flush and filter. New rocker cover gasket installed. New radiator (old one worked fine but had been patched with some sort of epoxy). Leather seats redyed original tan color. New c-piller plastic installed on the top (notorious for being broken on most cars). All bugs and gremlins exorcised. Vehicle runs like new. Straight six cylinder engine with tons of torque. Traction control for slippery days. Premium sound with 6 disc changer in the trunk. All the lights work on the dash and of course there are no check engine, check control or SRS warning lights on. The vehicle has just under 105K miles on it, 1800 miles of that were put on in a recent road trip where the vehicle performed flawlessly.
You could buy another one in time for the weather to stay nice and then have to have the top fixed or replaced. The rocker cover gasket done. The trans flushed and filled and then have to buy new tires before the summer is out. After that you'll need to figure out why that darned SRS light keeps coming on. Or maybe put on seat covers to hide the worn and torn interior. Why bother? Mine has had all service work performed and many new parts put in. It has a great interior and a leak free top that works as it should. And the color combo of a white car with tan top and interior is not one you'll see every day.
We had prepared this vehicle for a customer that was unable to take delivery. His loss is your gain. This your opportunity to pick up that graduation gift or just something extra to enjoy the warm weather with.
Feel free to contact me to set up a time to view. It is insured, registered and driven daily so no trouble taking a test drive. It has a clean title in my name. So lets get this done before the weather gets really nice and you see someone else driving what could have been your car. Can deliver within 200 miles for $1 a loaded mile.

BMW hires Ferrari chief engineer Fedeli
Wed, 08 Oct 2014There's going to be a little bit more Prancing Horse in some future BMWs because the Bavarian brand is hiring Ferrari chief engineer Roberto Fedeli to join the company in November. Fedeli's new position is still somewhat of a mystery though, and he reportedly might be lending his talents to the high performance M division or possibly even Rolls-Royce. When asked by Automotive News Europe, BMW said that it "currently can't say what his role will be."
Regardless of his new job, Fedeli was a big get for BMW because of his strong résumé. He has been with Ferrari since 1988 and led the engineering for the famous Italian automaker's vehicles since 2007. Fedeli tendered his resignation in September at around the same time that chairman Luca di Montezemolo announced his decision to leave the company. However, Ferrari told ANE that there was no connection between the two events.
BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo gets leaked well ahead of Geneva reveal
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The great power of the internet has allowed us to get an early first look at the all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, a car that is slated to be shown in full at the Geneva Motor Show next month, albeit without many details to go on right now. With pictures leaking out this early in the game, we'd expect that you won't have to wait until March to get the full lowdown, however.
Our first look at the 3er GT reveals a car that is, to our eyes, a tidier piece of design work than its 5 Series GT brother. The long-backside proportions are still a bit ungainly, at least from these images, but they're helped tremendously with the larger wheel/tire package and more aggressive fascia of the sport package.
Expect the 3 Series GT to hit the ground running, with the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and 3.0-liter inline-six found in the standard 3 Series sedan. BMW's popular xDrive all-wheel-drive system is a virtual lock for the option sheet, too.
BMW readying impressive track-focused M Power App
Thu, 06 Jun 2013There are a lot of questionable automotive apps that people put on their smartphones these days, but BMW has created what could be one of the most useful and integrated car apps ever. The new M Power App, which will be available this summer only for Apple iPhones, allows BMW owners a whole new way to record their performance on the street or on a track. During the launch of the recent BMW M6 Gran Coupe, BimmerPost was able to get a full demonstration of how this new app works.
Far more involved than the current M Power Meter, the M Power App records data from in-car sensors and acts as a telemetry tool to allow drivers to see how they did on a particular track. Aside from an overlay on a track map showing acceleration and braking applications as well as head-to-head comparisons, the app also shows a line graph of everything from brake and throttle inputs to g-force, fuel mileage and engine speed. A small visual on the screen also shows steering angle, and lap times and speeds can all be stored as well. The data can even be shared with others, whether for bragging rights or instruction purposes.
This app works on any newer BMW equipped with the BMW Apps option, but the phone must be tethered to the car and the data understandably cannot be viewed while driving. Scroll down for the video demonstration recorded recently at Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
