2008 Audi S4 Cabriolet Convertible 2-door 4.2l V8 on 2040-cars
Holmdel, New Jersey, United States
This car is beautiful and is in great condition inside and out. I would hate to see it go but we are moving back to Manhattan and don't need multiple cars anymore. The car has clean title but shows a repair in 2011 in car fax - I bought the car early 2012 and it drives flawless; it feels like a new car inside and out. The color combination doesn't get any better - dolphin gray metallic with bright read leather with contrast piping and carbon fiber inlays throughout. Front heated seats, awesome premium Bose sound system, and I will include an iPod shuffle connector that plugs into the dash and stays stealth. Leather is in excellent condition, detailed frequently. Car has been driven in summers only by me and garaged always. Manual gearbox is smooth yet solid. Tires in very good condition. Only minor flaws are (a) hairline crack in one of the carbon fibre inlays on a door panel that doesn't really bother you, and (b) green line on LCD display. Please, no lowball offers as I can keep the car in my country house if I absolutely have to. The low reserve reflects the facts about the car and is price to sell. Thanks for looking! |

Audi reveals next-gen TT interior at CES
Tue, 07 Jan 2014Audi has taken the somewhat unusual step of unveiling much of the interior of its upcoming TT Coupe at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. That's unusual, because they haven't shown us the car yet. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised - with the proliferation of technology in automobiles these days, it's probably time we start considering them as much electronic devices as transportation devices.
While Audi has long been recognized as a leader in interior design, this new TT features an instrument cluster that is wildly different from what we've become accustomed to from the Four-Ring brand. Audi is calling its fully digital system a "virtual cockpit," and with its 12.3-inch LCD screen situated directly in front of the driver, it does away with the company's traditional Multi-Media Interface (MMI) display in the center stack. Two modes are offered, one classic option with large gauges and another more oriented to infotainment.
Besides electronics, the actual hard parts of the interior also show plenty of new thinking. With the removal of the central screen, Audi has been able to streamline its instrument panel to resemble a wing of sorts, with jet-like HVAC vents that house their own controls. Two more points for controls are presented to the driver, with buttons on the flat-bottom steering wheel and another set on the center tunnel.
Audi testing long-tail version of R18 e-tron quattro for Le Mans
Sat, 27 Apr 2013Race teams are always looking for ways to shave hundredths of seconds of their lap times. Case in point: Audi is making some slight changes to its prototype racecar to make it ever so much more slippery as it cuts through the air.
Debuting at the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship at Spa on May 4, Audi will be testing a long-tail version of its R18 E-tron Quattro racecar. As its name suggests, the long-tail car gets a lengthened rear section with the goal of improving aerodynamics. The long-tail will be run alongside the standard version of the racecar as a testbed for possible changes that might be in store, heading into the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Audi did not say how many inches were added to the racecar, but as you can see in the image above, "long-tail" definitely doesn't take on the same meaning of classic long-tail cars of the past such as the Porsche 917. More information about the car, Audi's team and even some info about the track itself can be found below.
Audi details updated 3.0L V6 TDI engine
Fri, 09 May 2014The brands in the Volkswagen Group have shown that they can develop some of the world's best diesel engines for passenger cars. At the Vienna Motor Symposium taking place May 8 and 9, Audi has an updated one to add to its lineup. It's launching a new version of the 3.0 TDI V6 with better efficiency and more power than the version currently in the US.
The new diesel will be offered in two tunes: 215 horsepower or 268 hp. However, Audi isn't giving away all of the new engine's secrets just yet. It says "depending on model" the mill makes as much as 442.5 pound-feet of torque and gets as much as 13 percent better fuel economy. That likely means the more powerful version gets the twist, and the other one has the better consumption, but we'll have to see.
To compare, the current 3.0 TDI offered in the US produces 240 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque. In the A6, it's rated at 24 miles per gallon city, 38 mpg highway and 29 mpg combined, according to the EPA.
