I am selling my 2001 Audi S4 Avant B5
This car has always been immaculately maintained.  My friend owned it before me and he worked for Bosch which means every part on this car has always been Bosch replacement parts.
The only reason i am selling the car is I have to buy a truck for our business and this beauty must go to make room.  I had not planned to sell the car anytime soon as you will see from all the money I have invested in it within the past 6 months.
The car has had extensive maintenance and repairs in the past 6 months.  The below list is repairs and maintenance that was done recently:
  • timing belt, fuel pump, tensioner belts, rollers, serpentine belt, coolant,-done within last 6 months
  • Valve cover gaskets
  • air cleaner, oil filter and oil
  • rear wiper motor was replaced
  • Both rear window regulators were replaced
  • Brakes all the way around -within last year
  • Painted calipers red
  • all 6 coil packs-last 2 months
  • TEIN lower springs -last 2 months
  • Upper control arms
  • Both rear Wheel bearings replaced
  • Hood latch cable replaced-2 months
  • Cleaned out injection system to fix a flat spot-2 months ago (I am not explaining this right but I have the receipts)
  • Borla Cat Back exhaust
  • RS4 replica grill insert
  • Enkei 18" wheels with new general tires -within past year
  • I also have a set of 4 stock S4 wheels with Hakkapeliitta tires (these tires are insane snow tires over $150 each)
  • Car was smoke free and this car needs nothing except maybe a paint job.
The car is stock with no mods to the motor except the exhaust.  I am sad to say the car was never driven hard as it was a daily driver and fuel efficiency was the goal.  Hardly the way this car should be driven.  this car runs and drives absolutely perfect and handles even better with the suspension and tires.  This is a great car at a great price.
The bad:
  • The paint is not perfect and as photos show has scratches on rear bumper, rear passenger quarter panel and minor blemishes on the front from salt.
  • Driver seat has a small tear in the bolster which would be an easy fix for a upholstery place.
  • like every other Audi of this day the center readout has minor dithering issues and although you can still read it all it is a blemish.
If you have any questions please feel free to call or text 716-628-3236 Chris

Audi debuts all-new R18 E-Tron Quattro with novel secondary hybrid system

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

This is the new Audi R18. It looks like the Bond villain of race cars (it has red running lamps), and if Audi's past is any indication, it'll prove difficult to beat in the LMP1 class of the 2014 World Endurance Championship.
The car's full name is the Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro, just like last year's car. Also like last year's car, the new R18 draws its power from a V6 turbodiesel, which powers its rear wheels, and Audi's E-Tron hybrid system, which runs its front axle. Unlike last year's car, though, this R18 has a secondary hybrid system. Audi has fitted the V6 with an electric turbocharger and figured out how to capture waste heat generated when the engine reaches its boost limit. That power can then be stored and fed back into either the turbo or the front axle's hybrid system under acceleration.
There are a number of changes to the body on the new car, forced in large part by series regulation changes. The car is narrower, particularly at the front, but it's also taller. The front end is set off by a new wing, as part of a new WEC regulation. Audi seems quite pleased about this, citing an improvement in front-end downforce and a reduction in cost. Like Formula One, the WEC contenders now have to contend with a ban on the so-called blown diffuser, which forced exhaust gases over the diffuser, creating downforce. That's necessitated some changes from Audi, although as we have no rear shots of the car, we can't tell you what it looks like.

2015 Audi A3 configurator is up and running

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Potential customers for the new Audi A3 should set aside some time during their lunch breaks to head over and build their ideal example of the new sedan. The official configurator, complete with pricing and options, has gone live on the Audi website.
Customers can choose from three trim levels (Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige), while each trim can be had with either the Volkswagen Group's familiar 2.0-liter, turbocharged, 220-horsepower four-cylinder or a 1.8-liter, turbocharged, 170-horsepower four-cylinder. Buyers of the 2.0-liter will enjoy Quattro all-wheel drive while power for the 1.8T is channeled through the front wheels only. A six-speed, S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission is standard across the range.
You can check out full pricing on the A3 right here, but as a means of recap, the base Premium trim with the 1.8-liter engine starts at $29,900. A Premium Plus 1.8T starts $32,800 and the Prestige 1.8T will cost $38,700. Adding a 2.0-liter turbo and Quattro increases the price by $3,000, regardless of trim. Those prices don't include an $895 destination charge.

Audi inaugurates new R8 production line at Neckarsulm

Sat, 18 Oct 2014

Of all the factories which the Volkswagen Group operates around the world, the Audi plant in Neckarsulm may not be the very largest, but it is among the most diversified. That's where Audi builds versions of the A4, A5, A6, A8 and Q7 lines. It's also been home to the R8, but now the German automaker has moved supercar production to a new facility just a few miles down the road.
Back in August, Audi stopped production of the R8 at its main Neckarsulm site and moved it to the new Böllinger Höfe site in Heilbronn, restarting production just three weeks later. The new assembly line brings together various workshops that had been scattered about the Neckarsulm complex under one roof, and will surely make production of the next-generation R8 that much smoother.
The Böllinger Höfe facility is about a quarter the size of the main Neckarsulm plant, and will also house a small-scale production line - similar, we gather, to what Audi subsidiary Lamborghini recently built in Sant'Agata Bolognese - and a massive, state-of-the-art logistics center with capable of handling 4,500 containers each day.
