You are bidding on:

a nicely equipped silver/black 1998 Audi A4 Cabriolet sport convertible with only 111.138 miles

This convertible is priced to sell fast.
The KBB Private Party price for this vehicle is currently listed between $4990 and $6115.

There will be most likely a few more miles on the odometer at the time the vehicle sells, due to the fact that I will use the car to go to and from work as well as for local test drives.

The vehicle shows normal wear for it's age (inside and outside). Please expect a few dings and scratches which are common for a 15 year old car. At 98.0449 mls the head gasket, timing belt, serpentine belt and thermostat were replaced.

Please keep in mind that Audi imported ONLY 1300 units of this model to the US between 1994 and 1998. There might be only 800 or 900 Audi Cabriolets left on the US roads today. Definitely a pretty unique car you won't find at every corner !!!

Here are a few highlights of the list of features:
- powerful 2.8 liter V6 engine
- 4-speed automatic transmission
- leather interior
- black convertible top (window has been replaced in 2011 and is still clear, not blind)

Audi reveals next-gen TT interior at CES

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Audi has taken the somewhat unusual step of unveiling much of the interior of its upcoming TT Coupe at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. That's unusual, because they haven't shown us the car yet. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised - with the proliferation of technology in automobiles these days, it's probably time we start considering them as much electronic devices as transportation devices.
While Audi has long been recognized as a leader in interior design, this new TT features an instrument cluster that is wildly different from what we've become accustomed to from the Four-Ring brand. Audi is calling its fully digital system a "virtual cockpit," and with its 12.3-inch LCD screen situated directly in front of the driver, it does away with the company's traditional Multi-Media Interface (MMI) display in the center stack. Two modes are offered, one classic option with large gauges and another more oriented to infotainment.
Besides electronics, the actual hard parts of the interior also show plenty of new thinking. With the removal of the central screen, Audi has been able to streamline its instrument panel to resemble a wing of sorts, with jet-like HVAC vents that house their own controls. Two more points for controls are presented to the driver, with buttons on the flat-bottom steering wheel and another set on the center tunnel.

Audi's next-gen "matrix beam lighting system" under threat from Washington

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Automotive News reports Audi may have a hard road ahead of it when it comes to convincing federal regulators to allow the company's new matrix beam lighting. The system uses small cameras to detect other vehicles on the road and darkens specific elements of the high-beam pattern to provide maximum nighttime visibility without blinding other drivers. Audi has been displaying this technology on its concept cars for a couple of years now (including the Crosslane Coupe Concept shown above at its 2012 Paris Motor Show reveal). Audi hopes the technology will effectively do away with the industry's current high and low beam settings, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration doesn't allow such a system under its current laws. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 specifically says headlamps are not to shine in this dynamic of a way.
Audi has asked has asked NHTSA for more clarification to determine what, if any elements of the matrix beam lighting technology can legally be used on US-specification vehicles. But American buyers may have to settle for systems that automatically dim their high beams until the rules get a bit more clarification.

Audi A1 now testing after S1 Geneva debut

Sun, 16 Mar 2014

Audi showed of its new S1 hot hatch to the public at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but the Four Ringed brand isn't done tweaking the smallest member of its lineup. Here are spy shots of an upcoming refresh of the standard A1.
The camouflaged model on display here appears to be the three-door model. From what we can discern, it seems the A1 is going to look a lot more like the S1 after the revisions. The headlights and taillights are more like the new performance model than the current standard car. Unlike the S model, the facelifted version has a different front bumper with reshaped foglights and a slightly altered design.
A release date for the refresh hasn't been announced yet, but regardless it probably won't be coming here. Audi is already aiming the A3 at young, American buyers. The little A1 just doesn't fit with that strategy.
