The good: Quattro! It was Awesome this winter New Battery. New flex pipe and cats. (very quiet in the cabin) Heat and A/C work great New ignition system. Bose sound system. Heated seats work. Front and rear. All power options work. Oil just changed. The interior is in fair to good condition. The body is in good condition. Clean title. The cluster states 152k. The car has ~130k. The original cluster was replaced with a functioning unit. MFA works perfectly. No dead pixels. The Bad: The car needs some work. Check engine light is on. It has a misfire. And one of the 02 sensors needs to be replaced. ABS module is dead. So no ABS. The module can be found for <$200. Tires will need to be replaced in 5-10K Motor has some valve tick. The car starts but doesn't always stay on. THE CAR WILL NEED TO BE TOWED Sale is "As Is" and there is no reserve. The car was a grocery getter and dog transporter for weekend trips. The wife and I no longer have any use for it and are tired of paying for parking for. It could be a great DD with some work. Located in Astoria Queens |

The 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona: What we learned, what we saw
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Two days after the flag dropped on the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, people are still trying to figure out what it might portend for the rest of the season. In 24 hours, two minutes and 24 seconds, 695 laps were completed by the car that crossed the line first. During that time, 67 cars began the race, 18 of them retired. There was that accident, and a red flag. There were supposedly slower classes beating supposedly faster classes. There were 16 caution periods, including that yellow flag. And then there was The Decision. And Then The Uproar. And then The Reversal.
There was also some pretty good racing, so let's have one last look at the weekend. Oh, and there was that 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO Series II...
If you want to skip the reading bits and go to the photos, there's a high-res gallery of 158 images above and a couple more below. Enjoy.
Audi testing long-tail version of R18 e-tron quattro for Le Mans
Sat, 27 Apr 2013Race teams are always looking for ways to shave hundredths of seconds of their lap times. Case in point: Audi is making some slight changes to its prototype racecar to make it ever so much more slippery as it cuts through the air.
Debuting at the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship at Spa on May 4, Audi will be testing a long-tail version of its R18 E-tron Quattro racecar. As its name suggests, the long-tail car gets a lengthened rear section with the goal of improving aerodynamics. The long-tail will be run alongside the standard version of the racecar as a testbed for possible changes that might be in store, heading into the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Audi did not say how many inches were added to the racecar, but as you can see in the image above, "long-tail" definitely doesn't take on the same meaning of classic long-tail cars of the past such as the Porsche 917. More information about the car, Audi's team and even some info about the track itself can be found below.
Autoblog gets ready for Le Mans with an R8 road trip and Allan McNish
Thu, 20 Jun 2013
This car is the master link between what Audi does on the race track and sells on the road.
We're attending the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Audi and we figured we'd make the world's biggest endurance race even more interesting by driving from Munich to Le Mans in an R8. We've also had a brief chat with Audi driver Allan McNish, and if you haven't already, check out all the multimedia ways to enjoy the next four days from the Circuit de la Sarthe, then read on.
