I'm selling my '99 Audi A4. The price is $6550, negotiable.
It's a great car in very good condition! Looks great, runs excellent, amazing handling, fun to drive, smooth and comfortable ride. I love this car and have taken VERY good care of it over the years. You can see all the aftermarket upgrades on the car but what you can't see are all the things I have upgraded, replaced and repaired the second there were any issues with anything. The car has never been in any type of accident and I'm only the second owner. These are very reliable car and with all the upgrades/repairs I've done this car will last well over 200K. Everyone asks why I'm selling the car and my answer is I would not sell it if I didn't have to. The reason I have to sell it is because we will be moving to New York City soon and parking is extremely expensive in Manhattan so we have to only keep one car and since my wife does not know how to drive stick shift I have to sell my car and keep her car that has automatic transmission. If I could afford two parking spots I would keep the car without a doubt, but it's way too expensive. - 2.8L DOHC SMPI 30-valve V6 engine with variable intake valve timing - 19 MPG City / 27 MPG Highway - "Quattro IV" all-wheel drive system - Nighthawk black exterior - Black leather interior - Manual transmission (leather-wrapped shift knob) - 18" 5-spoke aftermarket rims - Continental ExtremeContact DWS Ultra High Performance All-Season low-profile tires (225/40ZR18; 92Y XL; 540 A A UTQG) - Aftermarket halo angel-eyes euro headlights in black - Aftermarket euro taillights in black - HID conversion kit with 6000K HID Xenon ligh bulbs for low-beam headlights - HID conversion kit with 6000K HID Xenon light bulbs for foglights - 8-speaker sound system with active rear speakers - 6 CD changer in the trunk - Anti-theft vehicle alarm system with interior monitoring sensors - Anti-lock brake system - Torsen torque sensing central differential - Front and rear gas-charged shock absorbers - Power assisted vented front and rear disk brakes - Power central locking system including trunk and fuel filler door, selective unlocking, auto window closing - Power windows with retained accessory power, pinch protection, front/rear one-touch down, front one-touch up - Drive rand passenger airbags with supplemental restraint system - Power glass sunroof/moonroof with sunshade and 1-touch-tilt-slide - Dual Blue Mica power outside mirrors - Fold-down rear center armrest with first-aid kit - Electronic rear window defogger with timer - 15.9 gallon fuel tank - 4 assist handles - Front/rear reading lamps - Illuminated visor vanity mirror - Front and rear adjustable headrests - Front seat back map pockets - Height-adjustable folding front center armerest with storage container - Full center console with storage bins and beverage holders - Front and rear ash-trays (nobody has been allowed to smoke in the car!) - Carpet in very good condition (comes with Racing embroidered floormats) - Front and rear windshield built-in antena - Outside temperature gauge - Variable speed intermittent wipwer with Bosch wiper blades - Interior lighting with courtesy delay and fade-out system - Red backlit instrumentation (electric speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, voltmeter, coolant and oil temperature gauges, service interval indicator) - Backlit warning lights (low fuel, seat belt, oil pressure, brake) - Front 3-point seat belts with height adjustment and auto tensioners - Rear outboard 3-point seat belts with angle adjustment - Illuminated glove box - Large illuminated trunk (cargo net included) - Emergency warning triangle in trunklid - Windows tinted to maximum Massachusetts allowed limit The car has 145K miles on it, which is not too much for these cars, especially considering all the upgrades that have been recently done. I have taken VERY GOOD care of it throughout the years: - Timing belt changed at 120K - All four rotors changed recently - All break pads changed recently - All wheel bearings have been changed recently (at 140K) - The coil pack was changed at 125K (these last over 100K) - All spark plugs were changed with the coil pack - All ignition wires were changed with the coil pack - Engine and cabin air filters changed recently (and on regular basis) - Oil changes every 3000 miles (Bosch oil filter and Mobil1 10W-40 oil) - The vacuum motor thing in the trunk that controls the door locks changed recently (this is a common problem for these specific Audi A4s and I've taken care of it) - The fuel gauge in the gas tank changed recently (this is also a common problem with these specific Audi's and now you don't have to worry about it ever again) - All kinds of routine maintenance and tuning up performed constantly! Like I have already mentioned and as you can see from pictures the car is in overall very good condition. Of course there are minor chips and scratches here and there as is expected from a used car but nothing major whatsoever. I'm asking $6650 for it, which is a fair price given all that has been done to it - the KBB value is about 4.5-5K, just the rims and the low-profile tires were about $1200, the headlights were about $500, the taillights were $300, parts and installation for both HID conversion kit with 6000K HID Xenon ligh bulbs for both headlights and foglights was another $500, etc. and I've spent at least 3K replacing many parts with brand new ones and tuning up the car all around). I have already lowered the price a lot but its still negotiable to an extent. If you appreciate the looks, the powerful engine, the luxurious interior, the amazing drive/ride this car offers and how well it has been maintained then contact me. If you are not seriously interested then don't waste your or my time. |

Honda China struggling with high-end Accord because Chinese covet German cars, too
Sun, 06 Jul 2014It's not particularly unusual to see cheap cars in China, or those with designs stolen from foreign competitors, but increasingly the best-selling vehicles there would be very recognizable to just about any auto enthusiast. There appears to be one fact of life whether looking at car buyers in Sacramento, Stuttgart or Shanghai: People who can afford to buy premium cars often look first at the Germans.
Honda recently thought that it could challenge this perceived wisdom by including a premium Accord in the ninth-generation sedan's Chinese launch last year. The market-exclusive version was priced against the Audi A4. The venture failed, miserably.
According to Automotive News China, sales for the new Accord in China are down 37 percent through May of this year. Honda's overall sales are actually up by about 11 percent there on the strength of smaller, less profitable models. However, the company is still off its forecast 19-percent rise.
Audi RS6 Avant vs. Vauxhall VXR8 Supercharged in wagon battle
Fri, 28 Mar 2014The performance station wagon is the mature person's muscle car. As we get older, it's natural to add things like spouses, kids and dogs to our lives and each one necessitates a little more space. That doesn't mean we want to give up spirited driving though, and a quick five-door offers a great balance between needs and wants. In the latest video from Evo, we take a look at two, muscular European estates to see which is faster around a track.
Richard Meaden pits the Audi RS6 Avant and Vauxhall VXR8 Supercharged against each other; seeing that the cars go about utilizing their massive performance in very different ways. The RS6's all-wheel drive and luxury interior make it more of a scalpel around the track compared to the Vauxhall's rear-wheel drive hammer. Both offer the driver the chance to create some very smoky powerslides, though. Sadly, neither of these muscle wagons are available in North America, but scroll down to get a taste of them in the video.
Audi commits two R18 E-Tron Quattros to final Sebring race for LMP1 cars
Wed, 23 Jan 2013We were baffled a few weeks back when the American Le Mans Series and Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series announced new classes that will make up their combined racing program in 2014. Gone from the list is the Le Mans Prototype class, otherwise known as LMP1. The LMP1 class has long been the top dog of endurance racing, both in Europe and the US, so we couldn't figure out why this newly minted racing series was jettisoning it like yesterday's donuts.
It appears as if Audi is confused by the move as well. The German brand has announced it will participate in this year's ALMS opening round, the famed 12 Hours of Sebring, as it does every year, and bringing two Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro hybrid race cars with which to compete. Unlike every other year, Audi is treating this year's race as its potential swan song in this famous Florida race.
There's a good reason that Audi is so fond of the 12 Hours of Sebring, as it debuted the gas-powered R8R there in 1999 that kicked off its participation in the upper echelon of endurance racing. The R8R preceded the R8, which debuted at Sebring in 2000 and won that race, starting an amazing career for that car that included five more wins at Sebring. The R8 was followed by the R10, then the R15 and R18, and finally we wind up at today's R18 E-Tron Quattro - all winners, all dominant, all exciting to watch.
