My 1995 Audi 90 is up for grabs. The car needs some TLC and a little time in the shop, but still runs well. Over all the car is mechanically sound. The timing belt and water pump were just done on June 1st(have receipts). A tune up, rotors, brakes and calipers all have been done in the last 15,000 mi @ trusted choice auto care in Olympia. This is a great project car for someone who loves Audis as much as I do. I unfortunately no longer have the time to get this car back where it needs to be and I have began focusing on the Audi a4 I also own. Car runs great and is very dependable.
Cons. Needs a heater core (its currently bypassed and the car runs fine, but has no heat) The shop said control arms would need replacing in the near future. Driver side interior door handle needs fixing. Air bag light is on (the shop says it's likely caused by the seat belt tensioner, because the car has never been in an accident) Update- just had the water pump replaced due to it blowing when the heater core went. Next Audi R8 to share hybrid tech with Lamborghini Asterion
Wed, 08 Oct 2014The second-generation Audi R8 isn't far away, but when it arrives, it could serve to seriously shake up the supercar market according to Audi research and development boss Ulrich Hackenberg.
Speaking to Car in the UK, Hackenberg confirmed quite unequivocally that a plug-in-hybrid model and a pure electric were coming. And as with the current R8, the next-gen model will borrow from Audi's Italian cousins at Lamborghini.
"We are able to make the R8 a plug-in hybrid," Hackenberg told Car. "The Lamborghini Asterion shows this is possible - that car uses the platform of the R8. We will see an increase in the efficiency of high-performance cars - they have to meet CO2 regulations of the future in order to survive."
2015 Audi Q7 spotted with a blurry first look
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Here's the good news: we finally have visual evidence of the upcoming and all-new 2015 Audi Q7 luxury SUV. A set of photographs show that Audi has been putting the SUV through its paces, with an eye towards an on-sale date sometime late next year.
The bad news is that it was not one of our usual clear-lensed spy photographers that captured these first images, but rather a sycophantic follower of our friends at CarPix. The resulting images are a lot lower resolution than we've come to expect, and there are far fewer angles from which to judge the car.
Still, we can make out the nose of the new Q7 is a bit flatter and wider than the rounded affair of the current car, and wears similar swoopy LED headlights as are found in the rest of the Audi range. We expect the overall dimensions of the 2015 Q7 to stay about the same as the existing model, but rumor has it that the SUV could be 800 to 900 pounds lighter in the next generation.
Audi partners with AT&T for 4G LTE, will offer Mobile Share data plan
Thu, 09 Jan 2014Audi has made a big splash at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, joining the Open Automotive Alliance with Google, Honda, Hyundai, General Motors and NVIDIA, debuting a next-generation cockpit that's destined for the third-generation Audi TT and promising to offer laser headlights in a production car. But much like Apple during the Steve Jobs days, it has "just one more thing."
The German luxury brand has announced that it will, like Chevrolet, be teaming with AT&T to offer 4G LTE connectivity in its vehicles. The first model to benefit will be the 2015 Audi A3.
"With the introduction of the new A3 family Audi is putting the most advanced technology into the compact luxury segment," said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America in a press release. "Offering drivers a 4G LTE connection will provide the fastest in-vehicle connection available and significantly enhance the infotainment experience."
