WOW! 2007 AUDI A4 CONVERTIBLE! IBIS WHITE ON TAN WITH A TAN TOP! Up for sale is my summer baby, a 2007 Audi A4 2.0T in Ibis White with a tan convertible top and a tan interior. It has been a FL car all its life until I imported it into Canada. It has been a great car. The reason I purchased this one compared to other A4 convertibles was the history of the car on the CarFax. The previous owners (2) had always maintained it at an Audi dealership with the CarFax showing what was done. I have done a few little cosmetic mods- OEM Matte Black RS4 Grille ($500), RS4 Matte Black Replica Rims ($600), OEM S4 Aluminum Mirror Caps ($300) and Plastidipped the rear badges to a matte black but can go back to chrome at anytime. Have a clean title in hand. Just replaced the Vacuum pump for the brakes, fresh oil change and an alignment. The timing belt was done November 18th 2011 at 89,458 miles. I haven't had any serious problems as stated before the history on the CarFax showing what was done at the dealership the car was taken care of. The car does show some signs of wear on the door cars the FL dry weather had dried out the glue they just need to be glued back, some buttons have peeling some rock chips at the front which is pretty normal for a 7 year old vehicle with the amount of miles on the car. About the factory options (I have the original window sticker) comes with the S-Line package, Bose Audi sound system, Sirius XM, Wood Trim. Just recently the check engine light came on and there are a few double codes but I don't think anything major. Pictures just don't do justice for this car, it shows great with the top up/down. Oh also it comes with the OEM Audi windscreen to reduce wind noise/wind in the cabin. Super fun car to drive! Summer is almost here! If local can come and set up a time to test drive or if you want to fly in and drive it back she's ready to go! Audi planning A7 powered by fuel cell?
Sat, 01 Jun 2013Back in March, Volkswagen AG CEO Martin Winterkorn voiced his doubts about the cost and infrastructure associated with building hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, but according to Autocar, that isn't stopping Audi from developing a fuel-cell version of the Audi A7. While we're inclined to take this report with a grain of salt, this wouldn't be the first time a VW executive has made seemingly damning statements about electric powertrains that later proved to be incorrect.
After speaking with Audi technical chief Wolfgang Dürheimer, Autocar reports that Audi is building a fuel cell A7 that is expected to be ready for testing by August. Like the electric E-Tron and natural-gas-powered G-Tron models, the hydrogen fuel cell Audis could, if produced, carry their own "tron" nomenclature.
Audi design chief Egger leaving for Italdesign Giugiaro
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Wolfgang Egger, Audi's chief designer, is leaving the company according to a Automotive News Europe, which cites a report from Germany's Automobilwoche. Egger won't be going far, though, remaining within the Volkswagen family and taking up head design position Italdesign Giugiaro, a VW subsidiary as of 2010.
Egger took over the position at Audi from Walter de Silva, and has been responsible most recently for the Audi A6 and A3, as well as the 2010 Quattro Concept and the E-Tron Concept. He previously was head of design at Lancia and then at Alfa Romeo, where he was responsible for the achingly gorgeous 8C Competizione.
If Egger does move to Italdesign, his successor is likely to be Marc Lichte, the Volkswagen designer behind the current Golf. Of course, these personnel changes haven't been officially confirmed, and Audi is thus far refusing to comment on either Egger or Lichte's possible career shifts. We'll stay with this one, so sit tight.
Audi TT Sportback Concept rounds out an icon
Thu, 02 Oct 2014That German automakers seem singularly fixated on filling any white space between their models isn't new - the last decade-plus has seen their showrooms overflowing with niche models, some of which seemingly occupy sub-genres of sub-genres. To our eyes, there's often diminishing aesthetic and utilitarian returns to go along with the heightened price tags that accompany these models, but we're beginning to think Audi is tackling its personal diversity initiative best. Unlike the often heavy-handed designs from rivals (we're looking at you, BMW), Ingolstadt seems to be doing doing a more graceful job of carving out models between models. The latest proof of this is the TT Sportback Concept, just unveiled here at the Paris Motor Show.
After showing off its Allroad Shooting Brake Concept in Detroit and, more recently, in the Offroad Concept in Beijing amidst rumors of the TT sports car platform expanding into an entire family, we're not surprised to see this more utilitarian five-door hatchback showcar here in France. This, despite the fact that Audi already counts similarly proportioned A5 Sportback and A7 Sportback models in its lineup.
Of the TT line extension concepts, this Sportback certainly looks the most production ready, with a bare minimum of showcar tinsel masking realistic proportions and detailing. We think it's quite handsome from stem to stern, even if it's a bit familiar looking. The design incorporates Audi's trademark big-grille look with the TT's prominent arched roofline and heavily radiused fenders, along with a rear lighting graphic that subtly echoes the A3. Despite its leggy looks, the TT Sportback Concept is surprisingly compact, spanning less than a foot longer overall than the production 2016 TT despite its 4.7-inch longer wheelbase and extra set of doors. Those sleek looks come at least partially as the result of an overall height that sits 1.2 inches lower than the TT coupe.
